2.4 GHz Transmitter Shootout – Feel in Hand

The feel in hand test was a interesting one. We were not allowed to see or know what controller we were actually holding. So it was a blind test with someone handing us a random controller. The idea was, if we couldn’t see, our sense of touch would be slightly heightened and we could feel around for what we thought was good or bad. We were able to get a good feel for the actual ergonomics of the radio. Did the weight distribution feel right? Did it feel heavy in your hands? Did the 3rd channel buttons get in the way?
We ranked each radio as we held them on a scale of 1 to 5. The scores from all of us were added up, to determine the ranking of radios one through five.

Just like in golf, the lower the score, the better. We do allow for ties, and our points system works all that out.

Some random comments made during our testing:
Nobody could believe the weight of the Tactic. Everyone kept asking, are the batteries in it?

Several people commented that they liked the feel of the 4PKS wheel. The springy-ness, and the firmness felt right.

One person was concerned the thumb switch on the 3PL might be accidentally pressed too easy.
