“Which Additional RC To Buy

Hello Cubreporter,

We’re looking into getting a new (additional) bashing RC for the holidays. We is me and my 2 kids, 9 and 5.

We already have 3 Traxxas RCs: an E-Revo altered to look like a Summit, a Stampede converted out of a Telluride and a Rustler which used to be a Bandit.

We cannot agree on which car to get at all, not even which scale to go. Should we stay in the same 1/10 and 1/8 scale, or go big? Should we stay with Traxxas or get something completely different.

I know all about reusability if we stay Traxxas and scale, but what about fun? What is the most fun basher around to get?

Hoping to hear from you,
Greetings from Europe,

Johan R.”

Cubby- Yo Johan from Europe… thanks for the email and the question.

So… you are looking to buy an extra rc and already own several Traxxas trucks. The good news is there is no shortage of great vehicles to pick from. We have not tested a “stinker” in a long time, which just goes to show that the rc industry has done a good job of making sure the products that go out their doors are more than capable of handling the abuse of an average user.

But… what should you lay down your hard earned € on? I have two thoughts here… get something similar to share parts with your previous vehicles, or get something a lot different. For something similar, you could go with one of the new Bigfoot editions of the Stampede, which would be perfect for your kids. However, if it was my cash, I would probably get an X-Maxx. And why is that? It is a Traxxas to match your other vehicles. It is a big, gnarly bash machine. And… it is a BIG departure on what you already have, giving you something new and interesting to mod/bash/thrash.

So there ya have it, go cut the check and shoot me an email to let me know what you ended up buying.

“Arrma Outcast Big Flips

I know you guys already have the wipeout contest rolling but I still think you guys would like this one.

The owner of Cyclone Hobbies was showing off the Outcast for a few customers and he got pretty crazy with it. Needless to day he sold this and a few other Arrma products that day because of this.

Thanks,
Steven G.”

Cubby- Ya know Steven… I am pretty impressed with what ARRMA has done this year. They released the entirely new Nero platform with the new age smart diffs, and they have released a vehicle like the Outcast. It just shows me that ARRMA is 100% stoked to put out the best stuff they can for the basher market. The Outcast in particular shows that the ARRMA crew took a look at what average bashers were doing with their products, then set out to make a vehicle that would be perfect for them. From the video it looks like you guys were having a total blast out bashing in a parking lot, the epitome of what our hobby has always been about.

Thanks for shoot’n me the vid and if you send us your snail mail we’ll hook ya up with a BSRC sticker pack.

So there it is, there is no more for this week. Anyone/everyone can shoot me an email- thecubreportrc at gmail dot com. If your question hits the main page you’ll get a free sticker pack, even better, if it is named “Letter of the Month” you’ll win one of our ultra luxurious BSRC t-shirts.
