The guys over at Schumacher have announced a bunch of new tools from CORE RC. One of these tools are these 4″ plastic LCD calipers that sell for about £12. Many other different types of tools are available, hit up THIS link to view them all.

Schumacher also announced today they have opened up a new area on their website devoted strictly to overstocked and older items. Hit up this LINK for their new “Mega Clearance” section.

TGIF, HERE’s a video of BigSquid booth babe Mandi unboxing the Duratrax DXR8-E buggy.

Everybody loves them some lipos… CORE RC has a couple new low cost lipos to feed your lithium polymer fever. They are avaliable in 3000mAH and 4000mAh capacities, 20C discharge rates, and come with a JST-EH balance plug and Deans Ultra plug already installed. These plastic hard case lipos have rounded edges, which mean they should be an ideal replacement for the old 7.2V NiMH batteries that fit in most RTR and sport vehicles.

Make sure you check out the CORE RC website for more information!

Are you a lover of 2-stick radios?  Do pistol grips just not push your buttons?  Have you been waiting around for a budget 2.4 GHz radio in the form-factor you prefer?  Wait no more, Core RC is here with their new CODE Sport 2.4 GHz FHSS radio.  This low-cost, 2-stick wonder is about as bare-bones as you can get in radios.  Beyond the reliable nature of the 2.4 GHz signal, this radio only features servo reversing and trims for steering and throttle.  But you can get it for a low price of £39.99 (or just over $60 at current exchange rates) with a receiver, or £24.99 (~$40) for just the transmitter.  That makes this one of the least expensive 2.4 GHz setups out there, and just about the only surface focused 2.4 GHz 2-stick setup (Futaba has one, the 3GR-FS, but it’s list price is $349.99).

Core RC wants you to buy some new tires. It just so happens that they also have some new tires that you can buy. Fresh out of the molding machines Core’s got a pair of new treads for 1/10 scale 4wd buggies that they’ve dubbed the Multi Block and the Multi Bow. They are molded in Core’s soft compound for low traction conditions. Both of the patterns will be available for front and rear wheels and lightweight molded inserts are also included.

Schumacher and CORE RC have a new way for you to pump up the volume energy in your battery packs. The new UAC-40 Universal Digital charger/balancer/discharger/cycler is pretty universal in what kind of batteries it can charge, balance, discharge, and cycle digitally. You can power the UAC-40 from your AC outlets or a DC power source and it can put the power to LiPos (up to 6s), LiIons, LiFE, Pb (lead acid), and NiMH/NiCad (1 – 15 cells) batteries at a max rate of 5 amps. So whatever you’re into, this charger has you covered. The full package also includes a bunch of adapters and charging leads for use with all the various kinds of connectors commonly used in the hobby. Confusingly, it doesn’t include any types of balancing leads.

The one shown in the picture shows a UK style power plug, so we’ll have to wait and see if they Americanize it, which I’m sure will happen. To get a lot more information click through to Schumacher’s site.

Schumacher code radio

For our European readers, or those really old-school RC’ers, Schumacher Racing has released the new CR138 Core RC CODE 2.4GHz RC system. The system has a ton of features like 15 model memory, timer, servo monitor, throttle and steering curve adjustments, plus lots more bells and whistles all for a pretty decent price.
My first few RC vehicles back in the 1980′s were all dual stick, and sometimes I still see a few local bashers using these instead of the wheel around here.

Check the official Schumacher Racing site for more details.

I believe Cubby mentioned it a few days ago. We are starting to receive some new Li-Po battery packs for our first ever battery shoot out! I’m really excited about this! We hope to be able to answer a lot of those questions/emails we get all the time like, What LiPo battery is the best in my rc vehicle? or What LiPo will last the longest on a brushless setup?
It should be pretty interesting. There are a LOT of great battery companies out there to choose from!
It looks like we are already getting packs in from Thunder Power RC, CORE, Speed Passion, Scooter Motor Works, and True RC, so we are off to a good start! More details coming soon!
