Kershaw Designs loves them some brushless converted 5Bs and 5Ts and to prove it they’ve expanded their line of Mod 1.5 pinions that mesh with the stock spur gears on the Baja Fives.  The full line now includes 12 – 20 tooth 8mm bore steel pinions and 14 – 20 tooth 10mm bore hardened steel pinions.  Prices are $14 for the 8s and $24 for the 10s.

Dan Fischer from Kershaw Designs dropped by the RC Driver Live show today to show off a bunch of new products and custom rigs. The biggest news from the show is Kershaw’s new Baja 5B/5T dedicated brushless chassis. The new chassis is going to be distributed through TGN Distributing. According to Dan it’s going to be a relatively easy swap, just take the front and rear ends off your 5B and bolt them straight on to the new brushless chassis. One of the big advantages over using a normal brushless conversion is the weight. This new chassis will shave over a pound off the total weight.

Dan also took the time to show off their 1/5 scale brushless buggy, the Grenadier III (top pic of this post). It features a 4wd drive train that can easily be converted to 2wd and you have a choice of using a E-Revo transmission with 2 speed option or a Savage transmission with 3 speed standard and a reverse option. You can expect to pay around 900 bigguns for this and the wait is three to four months. Check out the product page on the Kershaw site for more info about this buggy.

Click through after the break for the video. And be sure to keep an eye on the TGN web site and the Kershaw Designs web site for more info.

We all like tough stuff and RPM has been one of the great purveyors of such stuff for a long time.  Now they have even more tough stuff for the Baja 5B and 5T drivers in the crowd.  The new rear bumper is a direct drop-in replacement made out of the fancy RPM material that everybody knows and loves.  The design has been tweaked for greater strength but all of the stock geometry has been retained to make it just simply work.  Unlike other RPM parts, this bumper is only available in black.  The MSRP is $18.95 and it’ll be available early August.

Check out the RPM web site for more info.

Ever needed a foot stool to stand on but the only thing you had lying around was a Baja 5T?   Well if you had the new Baja 5T Roll Cage from Team Chase your problem would be solved.  Apparently this lightweight, durable plastic roll cage is tough enough for a full grown man to stand on (there’s pictures).   Even better you can install and remove it quickly and easily since it just mounts onto the 8 stock body mount positions.  The Team Chase 5T Cage is also compatible with most of the aftermarket exhausts that are out there and it’s made out of high temp plastic so it won’t melt because of those exhausts.

The Team Chase 5T cage is exclusively distributed by TGN Distributing.  It’s available now and is listed at $189.99. Hit up the TGN web site for more info.

How limited edition?  Try only 4 complete sets were produced.  There’s not much else to say about RC4WD‘s Hummer H1 Baja 5T rims.  They look cool and they’re unique, which you’ll pay handsomely for, because they are listed at $249.99 for a set.

These are exclusively available through TGN Distributing.  Hit up the TGN web site for more info.

Kershaw Designs has a new motor for 1/5 scale electric conversions.  The Revolver XXL is a 1315Kv brushless motor that is built to run with up to 40v of power.  And they also dropped some hints that we should be expecting a 10S capable ESC to go with it!  The motor is available now for a price of $159.99.

Go on over to the Kershaw Designs site for info and ordering.

Baja Skunkworks (you know, those guys responsible for that crazy Baja 5T tank… yeah, you remember) have put together what could possibly be a must have accessory for 5B and 5T owners.  Their new 2 speed transmission has been in development for 3 years now and they say it has features that competitors don’t.  One of the bigger bullet points is that the Baja Skunkworks 2 speed has a set and forget shift point.  Once you get it where you want it the shift point should never need to be adjusted again.  The kit comes with 51:23 gearing for second gear and more options will be available at a later date.  The first gear is designed to use HPI’s OEM spur gears which allows you to use any gearing that fits the gear carrier and clutch system.  It’s also said that this 2 speed is “bombproof” to stand up to all those tricked out Bajas with tons of heavy billet parts.

The 2 speed is available now for a list price of $350.  Baja Skunkworks gear is exclusively distributed by TGN Distributing, check out the TGN web site for more info.  There’s a video of the 2 speed in action after the break, click read more to watch it.

Those angry guys at Hostile Racing Products have a new pair of shoes for owners of the HPI Baja 5T.  The Crusher Tires feature a realistic and aggressive tread style that should be a good fit for racing or bashing.  These tires have sidewall support but no internal ribbing to save your foams.  Speaking of foams, none are included so you better get some.  The Crushers are available now in hard and soft compounds with an MSRP of $42.99.

Check out the Hostile Racing Products web site for more info.

Team Gonads… er… I mean TGN Distributing is now carrying Uni Filter products for use with your large scale gas powered engines.  Uni Filter has been in the foam air filter business since 1971, so it’s probably pretty safe to say that they know what they’re doing.  Right now you can pick up Uni Filter’s Air Filter Cleaner and Air Filter Oil in aerosol cans for pretty cheap.

Drop by the TGN web site for some more info.
