Hyper 10SC 4WD Short Course – HoBao – HPI Racing

Recently we mentioned that HPI Racing would be distributing HoBao products in the US and Japan. We now have some more details on the vehicles including pricing!

The Hyper 10SC-E RTR is a 4WD 1/10 short course truck that will come ready to run with a 2.4Ghz radio system, brushless 3900kv motor, 3 oil filled differentials, and a full set of ball bearings. It will be available in blue or orange and street price will be about $360, which sounds pretty good for a brushless 4wd short course truck!

HoBao Now Distributed by HPI In North America and Japan

Some big news today out of SoCal, HPI Racing has now become the exclusive distributor for HoBao products in North America and Japan. Here is an excerpt from the press release-

HPI Racing 66 Ford Mustang 200mm Body

Looks like HPI is going after the all of us classic car fans with their new 1966 Ford Mustang body for 200mm chassis vehicles. The new body comes with a bunch of stickers to help give that scale classic look including shiny chrome stickers for things like the bumpers. Cost of the new bumper will be around $32.

HPI BAJA IRVINE LAKE NATIONALS EVENT

For you 1/5 scale guys, just a quick heads up that HPI Racing will be hosting the East Coast Nationals event at their Irvine Lake track. The pictures from previous events make this location look awesome! What a view! The event is September 29-30th 2012, and there is some more info on this HPI Track Page. If you are out that way, make sure to tell the HPI folks we said hello as well as Dan from Kershaw Designs who should be out there.

The guys over at HPI have a trick new Toyota Corolla Levin Coupe body for all you on-road fans. This is a 190mm body that easily fits HPI’s Sprint 2 and Nitro 3 line-up of cars, as well as being a great fit for most any electric touring car. The outside is covered with a clear overspray protector, window masks and a large decal sheet are also included. New HPI Lexus LS460 Sessions 200 mm Body

New from HPI this month is their 200 mm Lexus LS460 Sessions version body that is sure to make your on-road car look a whole bunch tricker. The body is formed out of .030 polycarbonate, it comes with plenty of premium vinyl decals, body post holes are pre-marked for HPI cars, and it is officially licensed. New HPI Plazma Pouch Safe Case

For those of you looking for extra safety while charging and transporting your Lipo batteries HPI has a new item called the Plazma Pouch Safe Case. The HPI Plazma Pouch is made out of a flameproof material to give superior protection and of course can be used for all your different types of batteries, not just your Lipo’s. New HPI/Hot Bodies TCXX 4wd Touring Car

For all you on-road fans out there HPI/Hot Bodies is releasing a new high-end 4wd touring car called the TCXX. As you can clearly see from all the carbon fiber and anodized parts it is one trick car from front to back. Some highlights of the new Hot Bodies TCXX are-

*More narrow chassis
*One piece top deck
*Full set of sway bars
*Upgraded shocks

New Waterproof Baja Servo From HPI

No doubt HPI has sold zillions of vehicles from their 5th scale Baja line-up of buggies and trucks. And no doubt they’ve been great fun to drive as well as solid bashers. However, some bashers like to drive their HPI Baja’s in the wet as well as the dry. Unfortunately the stock servo’s were not sealed to keep water out. Alas, HPI has answered the call of all those scuba gear equipped Baja drivers with their new SFL-11MGWP Waterproof Servo. Some of the specs are-

*Waterproof
*25kg-cm of torque at 6 volts
*Metal gear
*Futaba connector
*Requires 25 tooth servo arm

If your a Porsche fan, or a Falken tire Fan, it looks like HPI Racing has you covered! They just announced a little teaser that they have a HPI Falken Tire Porsche 911 GT RSR in KIT and RTR coming soon. The kit will come with a clear body, and all the stickers you need to complete the look, and the RTR, well will be all ready to drive out of the box. I know a few Porsche 911 fans that will enjoy this release.
