Now this is hardcore drifting action! It’s one thing when companies license rims and bodies, but HPI Racing has licensed the Falken Azenis RT615 T-Drift tire patter! Wow. RC Drifters can now go from clocks to treaded tires to fine tune their rides for different track conditions. They are made from [...]

It’s wheels like this that make me want to start doing more on-road action! HPI Racing has these new Work XSA 02 C wheels. The are Chrome and Gold, and come in 3mm, 6mm, and 9mm offset! They are standard 26mm touring car wheels, and are officially licensed from Work.

Here is a BIG ride for ya! HPI Racing has introduced the Chrysler 300C SRT8 200mm clear body! It comes with vinyl decals for window frames and lights, and is a pretty sharp looking body! If you are a fan of the bigger car look, this one is for you.

Now available from HPI Racing is the new pre-painted DSX-2 body for the E-Firestorm, Flux, and MT2. It comes in a few different colors, pre-drilled body post holes, and pre-trimmed! Just but it and stick it on your ride! Retail is about $55, but it’s probably cheaper in the shops.

Since I know there are more then a few people out there that have trouble viewing the HiDef videos, I will start posting them over on HobbyZip.com since just about anyone can see the stuff there.
This is the 1/5th Scale RC HPI Baja 5B doing an awesome barrel roll video. Enjoy!

Pro Driver, Tim Mohr, and I were out one morning testing the new HPI Baja 5B. We were also testing out the new HD Camera. The footage isn’t at full HD Def, or it would be too big to download, but I think it’s pretty good. You’ll need a .mp4 codec [...]

Another week, another Cub Report- here’s all you really need to know about what went down in the rc universe last week.
It’s been years since the revolutionary Traxxas T-Maxx came out. Since then, most companies have jumped on the bandwagon and produced their versions of the platform. The HPI Savage was the first, and probably [...]

In a week that featured the #22 of Chad Reed winning his second AMA Supercross title, and the beautiful filly Eight Belles giving her life for the run to the roses, it’s been awfully dead in the rc world.
Some news was made last week when Trinity announced that Ed Bridges of the famed EB Mods [...]

HPI Racing Savage gets a lot of attention at the track! Just walking into our pit table with the truck we were turning heads. By the time I set it down on [...]

Let’s get right on down to the nitty gritty here.
For you crawler fans, XTM looks to be the second manufacture with a full on competition chassis right out of the box, the XTM X-Crawler. It seems every week the crawling segment gets more support, and the new XTM “super class” crawler is just more evidence [...]

I’m not 100% sure we can claim FIRST on this, but if not, it will be pretty darn close to first! Our HPI Savage XL arrived today! I snapped a few pictures as I opened it and took it out. First thoughts: WOW! It’s BIG! The motor looks MASSIVE.

So this last weekend I had a chance to attend the U.S. Vintage Trans-Am Nationals! I was getting tired of sending Cubby around the world doing event coverage and piling up the ‘grown up entertainment’ expense report!
While there, I got to meet up with Doug, the guy who runs the [...]

April 12th, 2008 is the U.S. Vintage Trans-Am Nationals! This is a really cool idea. On-road RC racing with Vintage bodies!
These events are getting more and more popular, and starting to pick up some great sponsors as well like HPI Racing, Parma PSE and EDS Racing Products! I will be doing [...]

Brian, the head cheese and uber editor of BigSquidRC.com suspended me last week. I never thought he would have been personally offended at what I had last turned in, but I guess he wasn’t impressed with my last Cub Report that contained more curse words than a typical rap song. This week, I’ll try [...]

I am still waiting for confirmation on this, but as of right now, it sounds like HPI has bought outright Team Associated and Team Losi! Team Associated is happy because it might put them back in the news, it’s been quiet from them. Team Losi is excited because they see it as an opportunity to [...]

As I sit here watching “Giant Squid: Caught on Camera” on the Discovery Hi-Def channel, I can’t help but to reflect on just how far BigSquidRC has come in the last 12 months. This site has come from a little known basher site, to one that now gets more hits than most of the mainstream [...]

Welcome to month two in 08′, and like always, the rc world did not fail to deliver the goods.
The most news came out of the Nuremberg Toy Fair. When it comes to terms of “cool”, Nuremberg often bests the American shows when it comes to new products.
But first, I must address a huge beef [...]

For years, (literally) I have been asking body manufacturers to create a hearse. HPI Racing finally did it! It’s called the Grave Robber, and is modeled after a late 1950’s hearse! It’s made from .040 thick clear polycarbonate and is ready to fit the Savage, T-Maxx/E-Maxx size monster trucks. AWESOME! I [...]
