According to Kershaw Designs, the group at Leopard Hobbies has been the secret manufacturer behind a lot of the big names in brushless systems. Now they are taking all of that experience and putting it into their own line of motors. Leopard Hobbies has a large range of brushless motors for all kinds of applications from up to 1/5 scale electrics. Most of the motors are available in multiple Kv ratings so finding a match for your needs shouldn’t be too hard. Check out the Kershaw Designs web site for more info about these motors.

More power is always better, bigger motors are always better, strong motor mounts to keep those bigger and more powerful motors are always better. Kershaw Designs has a new motor mount for the Traxxas Revo and Summit that will let you securely bolt on those bigger and more powerful motors. Are you one of those guys that always has more chargers on your pit table than everybody else? (*cough*) Wouldn’t life be simpler if you could just pack along one charger that would charge multiple batteries? I think so. Lucky for us sane people Kershaw Designs is now selling a charger that does just that. The Thunder T6 Multi four output balance charger can, as it’s name implies, charge up to four different batteries at the same time. It’ll charge and balance 1 – 6S LiPos without breaking a sweat and up to 15 cell NiMHs. This monster of a charger does require a 20 amp power source at a minimum, it probably wouldn’t hurt to have more.
The Thunder T6 is available now for a very reasonable price of $149.99. Check out the Kershaw Designs web site for more info.
Kershaw Designs has a new motor for 1/5 scale electric conversions. The Revolver XXL is a 1315Kv brushless motor that is built to run with up to 40v of power. And they also dropped some hints that we should be expecting a 10S capable ESC to go with it! The motor is available now for a price of $159.99.

Kershaw Designs‘ got some more stuff for you to peep at today. A lot of it is for you HPI Savage and Savage Flux fans.
First up is KD’s redesigned Velcro battery trays. They’ve been revised to accept battery packs up to 51mm wide now and they’ve been made tougher too. You can get them in a flush mount version or a version made specifically for all the Savages, including the Flux. These fancy ones will run you $29.99. Kershaw’s also got a new simple Velcro tray that is available for only $7.99.
In bigger news KD is also bringing the Savage 5T conversion chassis to the Flux. It’s a simple chassis plate swap that will let you mount a HPI Baja 5T body on your Savage Flux, effectively giving you a brushless electric 5T. The chassis is made of 3.2mm aluminum and it will stretch your Fluxes wheelbase out to 22.1″. The conversion also includes extra long center dog bones so that your motor can actually drive the wheels. Otherwise it’d be kind of useless. Look for the Savage 5T conversion chassis in a few weeks and expect to pay $149.99.

There’s a whole lot of minor updates in this new unit, including longer motor mount slots that allow you to use a larger range of pinion gears, toughened up black spacers, stronger gears, and it’s been given a cosmetic makeover as well providing cleaner lines. Version 2 will be out in about three weeks and you’ll need $99.99 in your bank account to complete the transaction.
