Cell Phone Controlled- SKYRC 6×80+ Bluetooth Version Battery Charger

Want to control your battery charger from your cell phone? Take a look at the new 6×80+ Bluetooth Edition battery charger from SKYRC. If you are looking for the very latest and greatest in battery charging technology, this might be it. Some of its features and specifications include-

* APPS for Smart Phone (both iOS and Android)- This charger can be controlled and operated by smart phones.

* PC Control Software “Charge Master”- The free “Charge Master” software gives you unparalleled ability to operate the charger through the computer.

* Optimized Operating Software- This can help prevent overcharging which may lead to an explosion due to the user’s fault. It can disconnect the circuit automatically and alarm once detecting any malfunction. All the programs of this product were controlled through two way linkage and communication, to achieve the maximum safety and minimize the trouble.

* Internal Independent Lithium Battery Balancer- The charger employs an individual-cell-voltage balancer. It isn’t necessary to connect an external balancer for balance charging.

* Balancing Individual Cells Battery Discharging- During the process of discharging the SKYRC 6×80 Plus can monitor and balance each cell of the battery individually. Error message will be indicated and the process will be ended automatically if the voltage of any single one cell is abnormal.

* Fast Charge and Storage Modes for Lithium Batteries

* Cyclic Charging/Discharging- 1 to 5 cyclic and continuous process of charge>discharge or discharge > charge is operable for battery refreshing and balancing to stimulate the battery’s activity.

* Data Store/Load- The SKYRC charger can store up to 10 different charge/discharge profiles for your convenience. You can keep the data pertaining to program setting of the battery of continuous charging or discharging.

* Terminal Voltage Control(TVC)- The charger allows user to change the end voltage.

* Lipo Battery Meter- The user can check battery’s total voltage, the highest voltage, the lowest voltage and each cell’s voltage.

* Motor RPM Tester- Users connect the sensor motor and charger with sensor wire, set the pulse width and test the RPM of the motor.

* Servo Tester- Connect the servo and the charger with wire, change the pulse width value and check whether the servo works or not.

* Capacity Limit- The charging capacity is always calculated as the charging current multiplied by time. If the charging capacity exceeds the limit, the process will be terminated automatically when you set the maximum value.

* Temperature Threshold- The battery’s internal chemical reaction will cause the temperature of the battery to rise. If the temperature limit is reached, the process will be terminated. (temp gauge not included)

Pro-Line Big Blox 8th Scale Buggy Tires Now in X Compound and Pre-Mounts

Pro-Line has announced that their Big Blox 8th scale buggy tires are now available all glued up and pre-mounted for your driving pleasure. The mounted Big Blox save you time and hassle by coming ready to bolt right up to your buggy, giving you more driving time. The pre-mounts are available in their popular M3 (soft) or M4 (super soft) compounds, and come mounted on white Velocity wheels. Part numbers are #9048-32 for M3, #9048-33 for M4, and both have a street price of right at $35 per pair.

Big Blox are also now available in Pro-Line’s new long wearing X2 (Medium) and X3 (Soft) compounds. Big Blox are already known for their long wear characteristics, I would think that in X Compound you should be able to complete an hour long main and still have plenty of tread left. Part number for the X2 Big Blox’s is #9048-002, the X3′s are #9048-003, and both have a street price of around $22 per pair. Hit up the official Pro-Line Website for even more information.

Sneak Peak- Serpent Spyder SRX-2 2wd 10th Scale Off-Road Buggy

Serpent is known for putting out high-end product and now they are jumping into the 2wd 10th scale buggy segment with their new Spyder SRX-2. Designed by the likes of former IFMAR 1/10 2wd buggy World Champion Billy Easton, the newest Serpent is sure to be extremely high quality from front to back. The teaser pics of the SRX-2 don’t reveal much, but they are said to be showing it in the flesh at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, luckily we’ll be there to get pics and more information.

Also mentioned by Serpent is their intention to expand their product catalog, with new offerings like a 2wd ShortCourse, 2wd Truck, 4wd buggy and a 4wd Shortcourse on the way in the coming months. Sounds like Serpent is really upping their game!

Splinter Cell Blacklist Collector’s Edition with RC Plane!

Wow! When we started seeing games ship with RC cars, I thought that was pretty wild, but anyone can ‘drive’ a rc car. Now Ubisoft has announced the Splinter Cell Blacklist Collector’s Edition is going to come with a 3-Channel Custom RC Plane! This one blows our mind because we know not ‘anyone’ can fly a plane. It’s a dual motor ducted fan setup, and a 2.4GHz radio system. The collectors edition also comes with a graphic novel, exclusive content, and I’m sure there a game in the box somewhere, but seriously.. a plane!

Pro-Line Diamond Back 8th Scale Buggy Tires

Pro-Line is always striving forward looking to give you an advantage out on the track. Their latest 8th scale buggy tires are further proof of this and they are called Diamond Backs. Just like the name implies, the Diamond Backs emulate the scales on a snakes back, the lugs in the center of the tire are closer together, while the lugs near the sidewalls are further apart. Placing the lugs in this manner helps to provide longer tread life while having lots of traction. As far as tire compounds go, the Diamond Back are currently being produced in Pro-Line’s exclusive long lasting X2 (medium- #9049-002) and X3 (soft- #9049-003) compounds.

Pro-Line Racing ION 2.2″ 4wd 10th Scale Off-Road Buggy Tires

One of Pro-Line’s most popular indoor clay tires, the Ion, has proven itself time after time on 8th scale buggy’s and SCT’s. Team Orion Carbon Pro 2S 8000 90C Dual Wire Lipo Battery

The guys over at Team Orion have a new Lipo that is quite interesting- you can get it with two pairs of 12 gauge wire that terminates in a Dean’s, or you can get it with four 4mm bullet outputs. Orion states that this helps lower resistance, thus giving you more power. Another interesting feature of their latest pack is its capacity- 8000 mah from a standard ROAR form factor (138mm x 46mm x 24mm), to give you more run-time. Part numbers for the Orion Carbon Pro 2S 8000 mah 90C Lipo packs are #ORI14056 for bullets and #ORI14057 for Deans.
