The Traxxas XO-1 has finally been announced! That’s XO as in XOhh. Pretty sure thats not the Traxxas X0-1 As in X Zero. Also it’s not XO1. Pretty sure they want that dash.

It’s an on-road vehicle that Traxxas is claiming will do 100+ MPH with two 3S 5000 packs! It also has a App for the iPhone with telemetry for the newly designed TQi radio with docking base.

They are stressing experts only at these speeds! It won’t do the 100+mph without the iPhone app installed.

Comes with the NEW Castle Creations Mamba Monster Extreme Speed Control.
Special 100+mph belted rubber tires.

I’m guessing we will be fighting to see who does the Traxxas XO-1 review! hahah

Proline 1992 Jeep Cherokee
Sitting on my desk today was a box from Pro-Line. I always like surprises! Especially the ones that Cubby has not already opened and is driving around in the parking lot, and all I see is the empty box. This one was untouched! So I open it up to find a new body! It’s a new Jeep Cherokee 1992 for Traxxas T-MAXX and Revo size vehicles! The official model number on it is 3361-00! What’s really cool is this body has not even been announced!!! As of the time of this post, it’s not even on their website! This is a nice surprise! Whoever the little birdie is over at Pro-Line that snuck this one out, it’s much appreciated, thanks for the exclusive!

Here are a couple of shots, a little hard to see without the paint, but it’s coming soon!

Make sure you check out Pro-Line for info, I’m sure it will be up in the next few days!

If you run a dual battery 1/10th scale truck, then Novak’s new Diablo Brushless system is just the boost your rig needs. The Diablo 550 Sensored Motor provides a good fun to bash time ratio, and should also haul combined with the witchcraft intelligent electronics inside the ESC. With all this power comes huge amp loads, but Novak’s got you covered with something called “Launch-Limit” – this limits startup power and punch so you don’t stress out your batteries. Cool stuff right? We’re just scratching the surface!

Method RC has a sweet new Mirage Clear Body for the TLR 22 that supports both the mid and rear motor configurations. The body was designed with state-of-the-art Computational Fluid Dynamics (read: high tech stuff) to gain the best aerodynamic performance. It’s made of 0.030″ thick water-clear, high-impact mar resistant Lexan, and includes hook-and-loop strips to secure the body to the chassis. Made in the USA, baby!

Be sure to check out Method RC for all the details. If you pick one up, tell ‘em Big Squid sent ya!

Although it doesn’t always seem like it, there is more than one electric motor and ESC MFG in the RC world. Novak has announced their newly-developed X-Drive technology for ESCs. This adds a new high efficiency brushless motor firing technology that will increase throttle feel and response, and at the same time reducing the ESC’s operating temperature. Novak engineers have developed this exclusive firmware and hardware update that permit the Havoc Pro SC to have the absolute best response times and switching speeds. Sweet!

So we don’t give a lot of love to nitro around here as of late. Wrench still reps nitro like a champ, but the rest of us have pulled away for the most part. There is still a lot of nitro love out there though, and LRP has a new ZR.32 Spec.2 Pull Start Nitro Engine available for anyone looking for a little non-battery powered boost. XTEC T6 engine housing, XTEC PowerCarb 2 15S-2 carburetor with 9mm inserts, universal fit, and an ultra strong pull start all look to make this guy a winner. It’d fit great in your 1/8 scale buggy, truggy, or monster truck, and 4.34HP is no joke! It should be available now for around $330.

Be sure to check out LRP for more info!

It looks like LRP has an update to their A.i. Runner Reverse ESC This is a legendary ESC that features a no-button setup! Just plug it in and you’re off and running. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that. I can never remember the setup instructions on my of my ESCs. There is nothing more frustrating than being out somewhere and not having the write-up on your ESC if you need to reprogram. It is now 100% waterproof, features a fail-safe that stops your vehicle in the event of running out of radio range, and an on/off switch. It should be available anytime for around $70. I’ve got to say, I love all these MFGs getting on the waterproofing kick!

Be sure to hit up LRP for all the info.

Hobby Town has a new exclusive charger coming its way in the form of the Radient Primal Charger. The fact is that LiPos rock, and NiMH…not so much. If you wanna charge LiPos however, you need to have a LiPo charger. LiPo chargers cost coin though. The Primal fixes almost all of those issues. 4.0A capability, AC input, and capable of charging 3S Lipos…all for $40!!! Don’t just buy a NiMH charger when you can get both for the same price!

Make sure you get over to Hobby Town or go local and pick on up!
