T-Bone Racing Traxxas Chassis Brace Summit
The Traxxas 1/16th Summit is a versatile bash machine, but just like the bionic man it can be made stronger and faster. The crew over at T-Bone Racing (TBR) have just announced a new chassis brace for the little Summit. Made out of .125″ black nylon and mounted with 12 screws along the bottom of the truck, the TBR brace spreads heavy impacts along the entire distance of the chassis helping to keep it in one piece. The last thing you want to happen while bashing with friends is to break your chassis in half, the TBR chassis brace will go a long ways towards making sure your truck goes home in one piece.

Kyosho Plazma LM Toyota TS020
The crew over at Kyosho Japan have just posted information on their new Plazma LM Toyota TS020, a scale stunner for all you fans of Le Mans racing. Kyosho hit in the nail on the head with the body, it looks just like its full scale counterpart, a lean mean race machine.

Under the hood the Toyota TS020 is based on the Kyosho Plazma 12th scale platform featuring a fiberglass chassis and t-bar rear suspension. For electronics the Kyosho Toyota TS020 is available as an almost-ready-to-run, with speed controller and brushed motor already installed. There is no information on when or if this car is coming to the states, but we’ll pass the information pass along when we receive it. rc_drift_challenge Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the RC Drift Challenge has started. Round one is done, and the next round will be at HobbyTown in Orland Park Il. so there is a good chance a few members of the Big Squid RC crew will be there. Not sure if we will be competing, but we may show up to enjoy the event.

E-flite Apprentice S 15e RTF SAFE Technology
The latest plane from E-flite is the Apprentice S 15e RTF. On the outside the Apprentice looks pretty run-of-the-mill, however, the people from Horizon put a pretty bold statement into the press release, “This airplane is the most intelligent RC airplane ever offered by Horizon Hobby.”.

On the inside the Apprentice is full of the latest flying technology called SAFE. SAFE stands for “Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope”, a sophisticated type of flight control controlled by sensors and software. The SAFE system gives the plane flight envelope protection, multiple flight modes, and full time AS3X stabilization. To boil it down, the SAFE technology makes the Apprentice exceptionally easy to fly, a great thing for beginners.

The Apprentice comes completely RTF, everything you need to get up in the air is included in the box. For power it comes with a 3S Lipo battery, 15 size 840kv brushless motor, and a 30 amp ESC. Wingspan checks in at 59″ and the overall length is 42.5″. The part number for the Apprentice S is EFL3100 and it has a street price of $299. For more information THIS is the link you want.

Lexus LFA Pandora RC Clear Body
Pandora RC is well known in the drifting scene for their cool looking bodies. Their latest release is a clear polycarbonate body of the Lexus LFA. The Lexus LFA body is intended for 10th scale cars with wheelbases of 258-260mm and it has a width of 198mm. The part number is PAB-036 and it is scheduled for a mid-June release date. Hitec X1 Touch Battery Charger
First posted HERE back in April, Hitec has now released full information on their new X1 Touch Charger.

Touch screen battery chargers are hot right now, they are just so easy and fun to use. The X1 Touch comes with a 3.2″ high resolution touch screen to make your life easier. For power, there are 55 watts on tap making for a maximum charge rate of 7 amps. The X1 has a built in power supply, charges all the popular cell chemistry’s, and has an internal balance circuit to keep your packs in tip-top shape.

Blade Nano QX RTF and BNF
Today the “big” news in the nano quadcopter world comes from the guys over at Blade with the announcement of their new Nano QX RTF and BNF. At first look it’s easy to see that the Nano QX features rotor protectors but inside is where the bigger news lies, SAFE Technology. SAFE Technology is sophisticated flight control software that keeps the quad ultra stable and easy to fly. In fact, if things get out of hand while flying just let off the sticks and the Nano QX goes straight into a stable hover.

The Nano QX weighs just over a half ounce and has a width of just 5.5 inches. Two bodies and extra rotors come with the quad and everything you need to get flying comes right in the box.

Hot Racing Diff Lock Twin Hammers
A working front diff in your Vaterra Twin Hammers is great for general driving and bashing, but if you want to do some hardcore crawling you really need to lock that thing up. Hot Racing makes that task easy and sanitary with their new aluminum diff lock. The Hot Racing front diff lock for the Twin Hammers is made out of CNC machined aluminum and drilled out to save weight. The part number is VTH125F and it comes with the differential locking hub and two lock pins. Street price is just under $10 and they are available right now.

Pro-Line Trencher 2.2 Traxxas Mini 1/16th Revo
After a Sneak Peak, Pro-Line have officially announced their new Trencher tires for Traxxas 1:16 Revo. All you hardcore bashers out there already know how kick butt Trenchers are- they give great traction on nearly any surface and last a very long time. Trenchers might very well be the best basher tire that money can buy and now you can get them for your Mini Revo.

The Trencher 2.2 uses horizontal “H” shaped tread for outstanding forward bite and have a height of 3.62″ and a width of 1.73″. Notice how much Traxxas prices have went up lately? You can save some cash as Traxxas is now offering many of their Lipo ready models without battery packs. This saves you money and nobody likes paying extra for battery packs they don’t want or need.
