Ares Nano Micro Chronos CX 75 RTF Helicopter Review
It seems like all bashers have a place in their heart for some sort of flight. Either with foam plans, or nano helis, most of us own at least one. We recently got our hands on the new Ares micro heli, and decided to put it to the test. Would it satisfy our need for air time? Keep Reading..
THE VS Tank Pro Review
We recently got our hands on two VS Tank Pro vehicles. The M4A3 Sherman (USA) and the Pz.753 (German) seemed like good choices. We opted for the infrared instead of the Airsoft versions because we knew with Cubby around we’d have bb holes in walls and bruised shins. On the official VS Tank website the vehicles look pretty dang cool, so how do they look in person? How do they operate? Keep reading to see our review…
The Flyzone Sensei RTF Review
We don’t do a lot of airplane reviews, but we do have 3DBill, our resident pilot. Brian and Wrench like to dabble with flying now and then, and by flying I mean ‘Falling with Style’. So we know there is a little crossover with bashers and the flying scene, so why not review a couple of planes now and then. The Flyzone Sensei is a new trainer, so it seems like a good place to start. We will keep it short so we don’t bore the car guys. How’s the Sensei do? Keep reading to find out…
THE Dr Marty’s Easy On Conductive Grease Review
I must admit to being a connector freak. It’s very satisfying when I can perfectly solder up a new set of uber connectors to my gear. I run good electronics in my cars, I am not going to waste one bit of power by using sub-par connectors.
While cruising the recent iHobby expo one of the people in the E-Power booth insisted that I try some of their Dr Marty’s Conductive Grease on my connectors. I’ve used others over the years that didn’t work worth a darn so I was hesitant, but finally agreed. I am glad I did, read on…

Keep reading to see if we can handle the DXR or if it handles us…

So does Traxxas rule the app market with the Short Course Shootout? Keep reading to find out.. READ MORE
So we normally do not do helicopter reviews, and if we did do them, it would probably be from a major manufacturer, but this review is special in a few ways. Every once in a while we get occasional questions asking us about the mini helicopters people see around. They want to know if they are worth it, are they total junk? And there are a lot of bashers out there that seem to have the ‘flying’ bug. They aren’t looking to get into the hobby of flying, but just want something to satisfy this occasional craving. Will the Jin Xing DA help any of this? Is it worth getting? Keep reading to find out….
The Team Checkpoint TC-950 / Trakpower TK-950 Soldering Station Review
Direct Link @ Tower Hobbies: Trakpower TK-950 Soldering Station
Review By: Evan

Anyone who has been in the hobby for very long at all recognizes the value of a good soldering iron. It only takes one cold solder joint, one melted wire, or one burnt finger to see that having a good soldering station is just as important as a good battery, motor, or speed controller. When I first got started in RC, I fell victim to the “a soldering iron is a soldering iron” approach. They were cheap, crappy, electronic store irons that in hindsight were just awful. However, when that is all you’ve ever used, that is all you know.
A good station isn’t cheap compared to those $15 irons you get at R@dio Sh@ck. However, I didn’t exactly want to go out and spend $300 either. I decided to give the Team Checkpoint TC-950 (also called the Trakpower TK-950, more on that later) a try. Hit the jump to find out how it stacks up versus those cheap alternatives.
