RPM ECX Bellcrank setThe ECX line of 2wd bash-mobiles are some of our favorites. They are affordable, fun to drive, and can take a good bashing. However, their servo saver is on the weak side, and their bellcranks have some slop in them. The crew at RPM have come up with an affordable fix for those issues, a new bellcrank set that is more precise than stock and totally eliminates the servo saver. This should result in much more precise steering and better handling. The bellcrank is made from RPM’s legendary plastic and is intended to be used with a Kimbrough servo saver that mounts directly to the steering servo.

The street price is $11, it has a part number of #73492, and you can get more details at This Link over on RPM’s website.

rpm-mock-intake-blower-hat8Over the last several months there have been a lot of product announcements. While the big releases rightfully garner the most attention, one of the smallest made me the most excited – the RPM Mock Intake and Blower set. As a guy who’s been into scale looking trucks for a long time, engine parts are always a pain to find. How many of you have spent $30+ on a scale model (especially the 1:16 scale Muscle Machines) just so you could pilfer the engine pieces to use on a build? *RAISES HAND* I had a truck just jonesing for a scale mill sticking out of the hood so I ordered one immediately after the product announcement. It arrived last week and I just got it installed. Click the “Read More” below to see how it went.

The new gear cover for the RC10 is made from molded plastic, which is more durable than the stock part, and also creates a better seal to help keep dirt from getting into the spur/pinion gear area. RPM RC Products
It would be difficult to find a more iconic name for basher parts than RPM RC Products. For years the RPM crew has been making ultra tough plastic parts to give bashers more time driving, and less time wrenching. When you look around the BSRC offices nearly every one of our “personal vehicles” has RPM parts all over it.

RPM is based out of Southern California, so while in the area we were lucky enough to get to spend some time with them.

RPM is extremely proud that all their parts are made right here in the USA. They are set-up to design, make the molds, and actually produce their famous plastic parts entirely under one roof. Also of note, while most of their parts go out the door under the RPM logo, they also do OEM work for some “famous” rc names. If you are an rc company needing some plastic parts made, it might be worth your time to give RPM a ring.

Along with Brian, we were most struck by the pure passion shown around the RPM offices. They eat, sleep, and breathe, making the highest quality parts possible, and that a lot of heart and soul goes into every single product they make. The RPM crew is hardcore about getting the design perfect, the molds perfect, and ultimately, the best plastic upgrade parts you can put on your bash machine.

We would like to say “Thank You!” to Richard, Atticus and the entire crew at RPM, we learned so much about the fine art of making plastic parts, and about the rc industry as a whole. The folks over at RPM are good people, give them your support whenever you can.

RPM ECX Front A-arms Ruckus Circuit Torment
For all you ECX owners, the good folks over at RPM RC have announced Front A-Arms for the Torment, Ruckus, and Circuit. In typical RPM fashion, the new arms were designed for extreme use, built much beefier than that stock units, yet with tighter tolerances to reduce slop. Larger bosses are used in the hinge pins areas to reduce breakage, while angled leading edges help the arms slide over objects. RPM also removed the tiny outer hinge pin screws, replacing them with an in-line screw to help improve overall strength. They also come with RPM’s limited lifetime warranty against breakage for piece of mind.

The part number for the arms is #70582, they have a street price of $12 per pair, and they should start hitting hobby shops later this month. For complete information hit up This Link to head over to the RPM website.
