Team Associated is releasing the LeDuc Bros’ Rockstar-Makita sponsored body, previously only available on the RTR SC10, as stand-alone replacement bodies for the SC8E, SC10, and SC18. AE is releasing just the decal sheets as well for those of you that already have a body that you’ve painted black. The bodies have MSRPs of $29.99 for the SC18, $79.99 for the SC10, and $99.99 for the SC8E. The decal packs will go for $6.99, $19.99, and $24.99. These should be hitting shelved by the end of this month or early next month.

The guys in blue have taken their popular SC10 and given it the Factory Team treatment finally. Team Associated‘s new SC10 Factory Team kit has all the typical factory team stuff: blue aluminum and titanium all over, carbon fiber pieces and parts, hard-anodized shocks, after-market tires, and a bunch more. And of course it’s in kit form for all of you that like to build your cars rather than just unwrap them.
You’ll need to provide all the electronics plus a battery and charger. All this fancy stuff doesn’t come cheap though, MSRP for the SC10 Factory Team kit is $409.99. It should be on store shelves some time in June. Click through to Team Associated’s site for more info.
Pro-Line’s plethora of preformed polycarbonate has grown a bit bigger today with the introduction of two new bodies and an undertray. New for the Slash, Slash 4×4, and SC10 we have the officially licensed Ford F-150 body. For you 1/16 Slash owners they have appropriately scaled down their Desert Rat 2.0 body. Both bodies are clear and include decals, window masks, and overspary film. And finally for the Slash 4×4 owners in the crowd they have created a new undertray specifically for you. The undertray will help protect your nice, new chassis and also keep some of the crud out. It’s made to mount with the existing hardware already on your Slash 4×4, so installation should be a breeze.
MSRP for the Ford F-150 is $35.95, the Desert Rat is $24.95, and the undertray is $29.95.
For all the info you could possibly want about these things give Pro-Line’s site a visit.
Team Associated has a new truck in their big, officially licensed line of Lucas Oil Off-Road Series SC10 trucks. The new truck is modeled after the LeDuc Bros’ Rockstar energy drink trucks. It’s not just a gussied up new body though, AE has decided to include their brand-spankin’ new 2.4 GHz XP3-SS 3 channel radio system instead of the old and tired AM system all the others come with. MSRP for this new setup is $369.99 and you should be able to find it on your local hobby shop’s shelves next month.

For those people looking to continue to bullet proof their Team Associated SC10, RPM is now offering their front bumper system. It’s a three piece design with a unique chassis brace. The brace bolts to the bottom, then the added RPM Skid Plate, and finally their front bumper which can also use the same can/light system RPM has put out for the Traxxas Slash! You can never go wrong with a RPM upgrade, so if you are looking to beef up your SC10, this is probably a good start!
Check out the RPM RC site for details.
With the increasing popularity of Short Course racing, it was only time
before Pro-Line Racing offered their popular Caliber tire as a Caliber SC.
The new Caliber SC offers the same Small Pin / Dual Stage Pin tread pattern
that has proven to provide excellent traction on your 1:8 buggy. They are available in M2 and M3 for your Slash, Slayer, SC10, or Strike.
You can visit the Pro-Line Racing site here.
Not to leave the SC10 out, Jconcepts has developed an over-tray to keep all the unwanted weight bearing material out of the chassis. Designed to fit snugly around the chassis with a slid in front and blue anodized thumbscrews for the rear. The clear polycarbonate is ready for paint and built with extra height and rake to provide room for a variety of configurations.
