The R/C Street Racing Starts at 9 p.m. on Saturdays in Calumet City, Ill. down Torrance Ave. in the Old Kmart Parking Lot Across The Street From The River Oaks Shopping Mall. It's Free To Race. The Track has Plenty of Traction and The Racers Are Freindly and HelpFul. You Can Race all night if you want for free. Wager on races if you dare.

It was a really good turn out last night even though it was cold out. Some guy ran a 1/10th scale nitro dragster and it ran the track in under 2 seconds probably. And of course he didn't have to pay a penny to run at Geno's. : ) My 4 tec is really fast now but I'm trying to set it up right so I can keep it straight down the track. I might have to kill some of the horsepower in it. I wrecked it 3 times last night. : ( No worries though because I got it back in action today. Ha, Ha. I might be out there next Saturday at about 9 p.m. if the weather is good enough. Be there or be square.

I'm the guy that ran the nitro dragster..........I did and have always given Geno a few bucks to run and have in the past even gotten him the VHT(PJ1) at my discounted price. So please get the facts straight. It seems that you might have a problem with having to pay to test and tune or race at the Lynwood track (seen your other post). I have never understood how some people don't understand what the cost are to run a track. Let me explain......
2-3 gallons min. per TNT at $35.00 per gallon
2 gallons of denatured alchol at $14.00 per gallon (mix w/vht)
Roughly $15.00 to $20.00 for gas to run the Pro Drag race lighting system.
$30.00- $50.00 to pay someone to run the tree all day.
Don't forget what it might have cost the owners to build a dedicated state of the art facility. I figure maybe 20K might be a safe figure.

ADD IT UP..........
So in my opinion having to pay to run and get a time slip at Lynwood is not a problem nor do I feel cheated. Quite the opposite......feel lucky to have a track like it locally.

Please don't misunderstand, I like running at Geno's....its fun and laid back. But don't try to compare apples and oranges.
Just thought you should know the facts. By the way stop by the wood sometime and get a time on that 4tec or run it in the bracket class. You never know you might like it :P
