I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate Roy Anderson on the purchase of RCDrags. Paul Songas (another famous face around here) is going to be helping him out with the website, and keeping things updated and running.

I talked with Roy on the phone recently, and everyone is really excited to see what he can do with the site. The site is going to be a hub to try and share RC Drag Racing information with the world, and this is a good thing. The more people know about RC Drag Racing, the bigger it can grow, and we support that 100%.

I know I got a few emails and messages about the news as well as emails about Paul posting, and I just want to let everyone know this is OK. We are good friends with Roy and Paul, and have nothing but respect for them and what they are trying to do. I am pretty sure we will all be able to work together with the common goal of making the world of RC a bigger and better place to be. Especially for RC Drag Racing!

Congrats again to Roy and Paul, I can't wait to see what you guys do with the site.

Brian

Brian,

Thank you for the very kind words! I look forward to working with Big Squid and together along with other R/C friends in the industry we can help this hobby grow in a positive direction.

I would like to let everyone know "from the horse's mouth" the reason I purchased the site and the plans for it. First let me tell you was it is NOT. It is not affiliated with R.A.E or Minnesota RC Dragway, or any other entity. It is not trying to compete with, or convert, the Big Squid's loyal readers. It is not a site designed for generating revenue for a profit. It is not a site designed to steal advertisers or racers away from other sites or organizations.

It was purchased in order to use the #1 Google rating to capture new potential racers and existing racers and help them find the right information for their RC drag racing hobby. Our plan is to return the site back to its original intent; to be the main conduit for news and information in the world of RC drag racing! Veteran RC drag racers, new people interested in the hobby, manufacturers, hobby stores and RC drag racing clubs will soon be able to go to one place to find information in order to fill their needs in regards to RC drag racing. That would include a link to Big Squid so that anyone can find out what is happening in the Midwest.

I look forward to our continued relationship and appreciate all of your support in what I feel is an important goal with this web site.

Regards,

Roy
