I noticed in your review of the Mini-Quake you compared it to the RC18T.
Quote:
Compared to the Team Associated 18T, it’s a bit heavier, and larger, so it’s acceleration is a little slower, and it does not jump quite as far.

When did you guys review the RC18T? Where can I find the review? It wasn't on your review page. I would love to hear how you guys rate it. I am thinking of picking one up but I have heard they are in high demand right now and are hard to come by. Are they worth the wait will the Mini-Quake satisfy my racing and bashing urges?

Hey there Hippo,

We have not yet posted a review of the RC 18T. The fact that Team Associated can't seem to ship them to save their lives has made it a little difficult for us to get our hands on them. Everybody has the Mini-Quake in stock, as well as the Minizilla, but the 18T, forget it =\

As far as your 'urges' the Mini-Quake and Minizilla are both loads of fun. If you are not going to be doing serious harcore racing, you could pick up either.

The 1/18th nationals are coming up soon, it will be very interesting to hear how the Mini-Quake does in competition!

It's going to be a little while yet. We are currently working on the Hot Bodies Minizilla review, so stay tuned for that one coming soon.

PS: Are you the orange hippo, or the green one?

Brian

Well I couldn't wait anymore! A fiend of mine was lucky enough to pick up the RC18T from a local shop. For some reason someone ordered one and didn't end up picking it up. When you snooze, you lose! So my buddy has it now! Let me first start off by saying wow...and finish with wow. So that being said I called all over trying to find a poor 18T that someone didn't pick up. After checking every hobby shop in 50 mile radius I tried eBay. None there either, I guess that was good thing since I would prefer a new one. So my incredibly huge desire to get one of these cars has forced me to make a compromise, I buy the 18T kit and the rest of the parts off eBay. I built the whole car (minus the electronics, still waiting on those from my eBay auction) in no time at all. If anyone wants the 18T and can't stand to wait any longer for the RTR, I highly recommend the kit. Everything is very straight forward, nicely packaged, and you get to really appreciate how well this car is built! What a great machine! I'll make another post once I get the other parts in and finish assembling the car.

I haven't decided on the hippo color yet, I'm going to wait and see what will look best on my car.

Keep us informed on how your kit building goes, and let us know how you like it. I haven't seen anyone with the hop ups yet.

Good luck with it!

The electronics came early! So within an hour I had a beautiful baby boy zooming around. The kit was planned out very well which made it a sinch to put together. I highly reccomend this to anyone who wants a sweet car and loves to build.

Yea we want pics! I saw an amazing one last weekend. It was built for
carpet racing, and looked way cool. I just posted a few new pics on the front page of the Mamba Brushless mod I did.

Hey Hippo, no brushless in that thing yet? What ya waiting for? :)
