i officially nominate the traxxas slash.

i have always kind of taken it easy on my slash. its a 1/10 electric based off a stampede platform. so my thinking was it was kind of brittle, but for i-hobby i could not go easy. i was launching that thing 15' in the air easy! landing nose fist on the ground, and up side down on the 2x4 track walls, and this thing just came back for more. nasty cart wheels, hard landings and big air. the only thing that broke was the radio shack fan that i mounted on the esc.
so the slash has my vote. do i hear a second?

I'm gonna have to second that for sure!

I can't believe how much abuse the Traxxas Slash can take! It was insane! After just tons and tons of bashing, I think the most damage was to a spur gear!

Being a Traxxas guy I would have to agree the Slash takes a beating like all the other Traxxas trucks Ive owned. The take a lickin and keep on tickin! I am by no means easy on my RCs and Ive owned every"major" brand of RC out there and now about a year later my fleet has narrowed itself down to all Traxxas. I just beat them over and over and with a few RPM parts there tuff as nails.

I absolutely LOVE my Slash.
Durability is absolutely amazing.
One caveat to that is the rear chassis tabs under the shock tower which is about the ONLY weak point that the guys at ProLine have encountered. I got one of the chassis savers that they offer for 10 bucks and it totally rectifies that problem.
Give it an extra 50 points for the TONS of aftermarket parts and hop-ups that are available, PLUS being waterproof.
Ground clearance isn't the greatest as far as running around the back yard, but you can improve that with the tons of wheel/tire combos that will fit. Just watch your gearing with the larger diameter tires.
Dig It!
