SLOWER MOTORS WIN THE RACE
Irvine, CA – October 3, 2007 – Once again Novak is reinventing the meaning of versatility with its new addition to the SS Pro Series: the SS21.5 Pro Brushless Motor (#3421). The SS21.5 Pro motor was specifically designed to offer oval and beginning drivers an even slower motor option in the SS Pro Series. This makes it the ideal motor for extended run times. When using a 2S Li-Po pack, the SS21.5 Pro brushless motor can match the speed of the Novak SS10.5 Pro (#3410) brushless motor on a 4-cell Ni-MH pack.
A standard feature of the SS Pro Series is the Novak 12.3 mm ROAR-approved, Nickel-plated Sintered Neodymium rotor for exceptional braking power and maximum motor acceleration. Another standard feature of the SS Pro Series is the set of ribbed, aluminum end bells. The lightweight, aluminum end bells not only reduce the overall weight of the motor, but the ribbed design also acts as a heat sink by efficiently removing excessive heat from the motor.
The SS Pro brushless motors are equipped with all of the great standard features found in all Novak motors, including a convenient Solder Tab System for easy wire replacement; Sensor-Based Technology for excellent starting torque, low-speed drivability and smooth acceleration; an Oversized Front Bearing for extra durability; and Thermal Overload Protection (when used with a Novak brushless ESC) that allows pack after pack to be run without fear of damaging the motor, battery or speed control.
All SS Pro Brushless Motors are compatible with all Novak brushless speed controls including the XBR Sport Brushless/Brush ESC (#1720), and all models of the GTB Racing Programmable Brushless/Brush ESCs (#1710, #1711, #1714, and #1715). All SS Pro Brushless Motors are also compatible with Novak’s new 13MM Sintered Tuning Rotor (#5909).
The SS21.5 Pro Brushless Motor (#3241) is scheduled for shipping end of October 2007. For more information about this product and other Novak products, visit the Novak website (www.teamnovak.com).
SS PRO SERIES RECOMMENDATIONS
· SS8.5 Pro Motor is 8.5 turns, and similar to a 15-17-turn mild-modified brush motor. This is the fastest motor in the SS Pro Series. (#3408)
· SS10.5 Pro Motor is 10.5 turns, and similar to a 19-turn brush motor. (#3410)
· SS13.5 Pro Stock Motor is 13.5 turns, and similar to a 27-turn racing stock brush motor. (#3413)
· SS17.5 Pro Motor is 17.5 turns, and is ideal for use in the 17.5-turn brushless class that organizations such as Brushless Racing League and Southwest Tour have instituted. (#3417)
· SS21.5 Pro Motor is 21.5 turns, and is ideal for beginning drivers wanting slow speed and long runtimes. When used with a 2S Li-Po pack, the SS21.5 Pro matches the speed of the SS10.5 Pro on a 4-cell Ni-MH pack. (#3421)
