Hi there, this is my first post, congratulation for the great website, it gave me lots of useful hints and the reviews are just great.
I would have a simple question, I'm gonna buy a minizilla this week and after reading the review on the website I was thinking to get a mamba motor.
The review suggest to use the entry level one but always talking about Lit poly batteries. If I want to use a 1400mah 6cell NiMH battery what kind of performance would I get? Should I still choose to get a 4500 one or a bigger one?
Thank You in advance to everyone!
Giuseppe from Italy.

Hi there, welcome to the forum! Glad you like the site and reviews.
If you go with the 1400mah 6cell pack, it's going to be a little slower then a lipo pack, and won't have run times for as long. The real answer is, the lipo's are just better all around packs, but if you want to save some money, the NiMH pack will probably be just fine. If you want, you could step up one from the 4600. Bump yourself up to the Sport 5400 package if you are worried about performance, but I recomend not going higher then that at all.
The way I see it, you'll be off to a good start with the brushless, then maybe save your money to get a lipo. The 1400 pack is running about 7.2 volts, where a brushless can run from 7.4 to 11.1, to 14.8! Most of our tests were done with 7.4 and 11.1. (11.1 rocks!)
Hope that helps answer some questions.
Brian
