Here's some pics of my truckzilla savage converted to brushless. I used emaxx batt cups mounted to the side plates. I kept the mechanical brake to keep the heat down a little on the esc. I made my own motor plate from alum. It fit perfect on the right side of chassis in between the tranny and frame rail and if you didn't know it you'd guess it was factory. I did have to drill some mounting holes but that's minor. I'm currently running a schulze 18.97 and 9xl on 18 gp 3300 cells. This truck is a missle and will wheelie with a yank on the trigger.
Got rid of the alum. in order to get it's weight down a little more. This is an awesome truck in nitro or electric form.

Any questions or comments please post away.

Thanks, Shaun

I have plenty of questions!

How hard was it to do?
How fast is it? Can it handle off road?
Have any problems?

Why haven't you gone lipo?

=)

Brian

PS: Awesome job! Looks sweet!

Ok. If you can drill some holes it's easy to do. lol I'll snap a pic of the motor mount I made and where it fits on the truck. Very easy and looks good too.
It can handle anything you put in front of it from jumps to drag racing. It did about 40 on 14 cells but haven't had much testing since I jumped to 18 cells.
If I had cash lipo's would have been done a year ago but they aren't cheap and not too many people will trade them.(I get almost all my stuff by trading(got 4 kids and a wife)lol)
The only prob I've had with this truck is not enough time to play with it since my last son was born. lol The savage is built like a tank and I love it for that reason. I've broke 1 lower arm and that was a result of looking at a girl and clipping a curb. How embarrassing as she was watching me. lol
I've got the truck apart right now if you want to see pics of anything and I'd be more than happy to make motor mounts if anyone likes mine or just needs one.
Here's pics of the brushless demon....

Sweet! Thanks for all the info! I might take you up on the mounts one day. I can't believe your demon is brushless. If I remember correctly, that thing was a tank and weighed like 20 lbs! :)

It is a tank but the bl makes it crazy. I didn't think it could do wheelies but my bl has crazy torque and can put it on it's lid like nothing!
