 Post subject: TMAXX Gear box trouble shooting help

Anybody that can help me with this will be DA MAN and a BIG help !!

Cant get the truck to move Ive opened this gear box and everything looks new , been thru the Traxxas site and tryed what they have there.
New spur gear,friction pegs,clutch bell,shoes I've also done all the tips Traxxas had ?

CAN ANYBODY HELP

a little more info

motor rev wildly?
when you hit the gas does the clutch bell move?
have you checked your clutch shoes?

motor revs up as far as you can wind it
clutch bell does turn
and new shoes

might be a stupid q, but are the clutch shoes facing the rite way?

inside the trans there are pins that hold the gears to the shafts. check all of them. if you broke one on the top half of the trans, then just the shaft would turn and not the gears.

Another odd question.... Does the truck roll free if you push it by hand? A lot of people have accidently put one of the Diff's in wrong, and they in turn "Fight" against each other.

Raise the truck, and turn the spur by hand. See if the wheels turn that way. It may help to narrow things down.

Ok I'm going to tear into it again today and check them again (cant hurt ) but everything looked in good shape last time I had it anart .

also the wheels do turn freely I'll check it out and get back to you
