hey all , Im looking at trying my hand at building a scrath built funny car .
Im looking for some plans for the frame and suspention for it.

Is there any place i can get some plans or refernce photos of this type of car?

I would need photos of the frame and also the parts etc. that would allow me to get a idea of the look .

But for the frame i need to ahve it mesured out.

the body i want to use will be a 2003 monte carlo or the ones that are used in the Nascar bodies.
I own a real one so i want to make it look like mine. but prefer the Drag racing in stead of the Nascar style.

any help is welcome on this Thanks!!
Mickey

Grand Motor Sports ( http://www.grandmotorsports.com ) is a great place to start. Also, I have a write up called Building The King Squid, which isn't exaclty the car you are looking to build, but might help get up to speed on a set up for it.

You can read it here: http://www.bigsquidrc.com/projects/drag_build.php

thanks Brian.
I have seen your write up on the Big squid, I actually love how it looks and if this goes well i will be looking in to doing one of those later as a second car.

The biggest reason i don't want to buy a kit is i really want to attempt to build everything i can from scratch so i know how it works.
Also so i can have the time consuming long hours of toucher that comes with it LOL

We live over seas right now so i need something i can do to waste some free time that i will have thanks to the snow that is on it's way. Also i work with models allot but they cant do more then the terminal velocity from the top of the shelf to the floor when the kids play with them .
LOL

Again thanks for the help on this.
