I have a Slash with a new Sidewinder, which is a crappy set up IMO! and its paired with a Power HD MG,HT servo and AE 2.4 SS radio. This set up never did this prior to today...But the reception keeps cutting out. I never had any issues with any of this equipment paired with other parts in any other trucks. I know the reception is cutting out becouse the lights on the tx and rx are lighting red when it cuts(green shows link). My question is where do I start troubleshooting here. Could a faulty servo make it do this or esc? Im trouble shooting with the radio and if it isnt the issue where to look next. Im wanting to think its the Sidewinder only becouse it has been giving me greef since blowing $140 on it. It a new 4600 combo. I have fought esc and motor temps since it came outta the box, then cogging really bad and now this. Like I said...This servo and radio has always worked perfectly till paired with my Castle. Any suggestions? Thanks

yra, Ive tried reseting the esc several times. I trouble shot everything. Its a newer esc/motor. Its malfunctioning. I talked it over Castle and its going to have to be returned. 4 different lipos(Zippy 4500 & 5000), several servos, several RX's and motors. Just keeps cutting every 30 secs and lipo is getting to 80+ degrees. Ive never had this in any application. Thanks thou. Over all Im not happy with the Sidewinder. Shoulda bought a Ezrun! Cooler, smoother and just a better esc from my experiance.

I highly doubt that it's the Sidewinder. That is something else, maybe your servo, radio, or receiver. Try connecting another receiver and transmitter. It might be that. As for the temps, is your slash 2wd or 4wd?

Sorry to hear that. Should have went with Tekin or Novak. I know it's more expensive but you get what you pay for.
