I am looking at a Traxxas boat, but it doesn't have a remote. I have a car remote, but do not know if it will work properly. Has anyone tried it? Thanks!

The transmitter does not matter just as long as the transmitter and receiver can be used together as a system (Traxxas TQ 27mhz or Traxxas 2.4ghz Link). If you are using an aftermarket transmitter/receiver some require marine receivers. Hope this info helps!
