So here's some of my dilemas, incase anyone wants to know. I have little to no time for RC in my life, but I try to kram it in whenever I can. Some folks get a hobby as a way to spend their free time, I have to make time, because I love the hobby. Anyway...
Monster truck, I want one. Too many choices, why does HPI make so many different ones? Thought I wanted Savage XS, but not liking the low ground clearance. I know I want a Savage Flux, but $500 is a lot for me. Thought I wanted that Thunder Tiger, but after watching some videos, it seems a bit too unrealistic looking, and kind of big and clumsy. So then there's the other HPIs, Wheely kings, Bullet Flux ST and MT. Or maybe a Kyosho mad force, but the seem to break easy. I dont' know what to do. Ruckus a high flyer? Basically I want' something that can turn grassy park hills into awesome jumps.

Next dilema...
I want a 10 scale drifter, what's better from HPI, E10 or Sprint 2. I read the Monster\Falken E10 review, seemed awsome, but why does HPI make 2 cars that seem the same? Prices are close too. I've heard people complain about belt driven 4WD, should I look at Tamiya or something else for drift? Or... Wait for the HPI WR8 Flux, I love the look of that sweet WRC Fiesta, 4WD, woudl it work as a drifter?

Adam: Yea, they do make a lot of them. The XS is a good vehicle.. similar to owning a 4x4 Traxxas Stampede. Great bashers.. tons of fun.
The Thunder tiger MT4 is a beast. There are LOTS of bodies out there, if you want something a little more realistic. But it's as expensive as a HPI Savage Flux. The wheelie king is getting up there in age, and not sure how easy the parts will be to get.
Monster trucks are fun! Even the small ones are fun. The HPI XS or brushless stampede will bring a lot of enjoyment. You can go smaller, with the new Grave Digger, but I think you will want something a little bigger.

As for belt vs. center shaft, they both will work fine. My drift truck is based upon the Associated TC4 (shaft) and the smart drifter is based upon and old HPI RS4 (belt).

Part 2: They make some great drifters.. and they are flying off shelves right now. Personally I'm not a fan of belt driven either. Way too much maintenance, especially drifting.. getting rocks and stuff in there.. causes trouble.
I'm not 100% sure they they make two so similar. But if I recall.. the E10 monster is shaft driven.. that would be my choice. And again, they have a TON of bodies that fit..

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I HATE COMPUTERS!!!! A simple case swap and hard drive/raid array upgrade has turned into 4+ hours of BSODS and ripping parts out of my computer one by one to find the problem.
