best i can do.
buy or make your own stencils. they are expensive if you buy them!! i used some thin plastic from my lhs.
just random shapes and arks.
next practice on some black construction paper.
when you go to the body, make reference lines on the out side (what way you want the flames to flow).
spray the inside of the body with a candy paint. i use racers finish. if you leave a little in front unpainted, the flames look like they are white hot.
then use white inside of that (once thecandy is dry).
you might want to practice on the inside of a 2lt bottle first. gets you use to the angles.
dont be afraid to mess up!! here is my first body with flames.
the colors were way off. but it was a cheep bod.
then just practice. it takes time. i like one color flames, but multi are cool also.
i found that little puffs of paint on the round parts of the stencil rather than following the couture works better and gives it a sharper look.

Great job... True Fire is a remarkable technique, and it's hard to really horribly screw up... the flames either look okay, or real good, or simply amazing.... with practice!

racers finish and faskollor. they are water based, so its easier on the nose.

i dont think you can mix the pactra with faskolor. water/lacquer conflict.
i use a 150 and 155, both good air brushes.
i haven't used the spaztix for a.b. but i have used the rattle can. turns out good as long as you use the paint prep they sell.
