*sigh*
So we have been trying to get the house ready to put up for sale, and having the big 3 day weekend, I had a ton of stuff I wanted to get done. As I was going down the check list, it came time for gutter cleaning. It's a two story house, but I don't really have a problem with heights.. so no big deal. The ladder I had was about 1 or 2 feet short of me getting on the roof easily. So I decided to make a quick jump up, worry about getting down later. Well, upon landing on the roof, I popped my knee out (then back in on landing) of the socket, tearing some ligament.
As I roll around on the roof screaming, I figure I better calm down before I roll off. Calming down a little, and trying not to puke from the pain, it occurs to me that I wasn't sure how I was going to get down easily in the first place.. no I'm one leg short and in pain! My wife wanted to call the fire department and get me down like a stuck cat.. didn't really want to go through that.. so I just had her hold the ladder steady.. crawled around, hoped she was SURE my foot was above the ladder.. made the drop down.. and hobbled off.
Went to the emergency room.. they took x-ray's and stuff.. said I tore something.. and to stay off it for several days.
Just wanted to let everyone know what was up in case it seems quit around here for a few.. or if I don't make it to my phone.
Hope everyone has a better weekend then this one.. lol

Hope you feel better soon. I have torn ligaments in both knees that required surgury......not fun. The doc said it would have been better to break a bone....long recovery time. Take care-keep ice on it and keep it elevated.

Stay off of it and rest, and take the happy pills the docs gave you. Get better.
Ironic that you photographed my trackside broken foot repairs at the T/A Nationals in April, and as I'm finally getting back to wearing two shoes, you go and do this!
This is why I don't mess with ladders. LOL.
Heal up fast, dude.
