POWERFUL GEARS FOR POWERFUL MOTORS
Irvine, CA – June 23, 2008 – Novak is continuing to crank out gears with its latest addition of 5mm 32-Pitch Steel Pinion Gears (#5152-5157). These precision-made gears mesh with Novak’s HV-Series of Brushless Motors (#3524-3527) and other brushless motors with a 5mm output shaft. This durable motor and pinion gear combination can be used to power Monster trucks, including the Traxxas® E-Maxx™ and HPI® E-Savage™. The 32-pitch gears are nickel plated to resist corrosion and are designed with ultra-precise concentricity to prevent wobbling. In addition, the gear size is stamped for easy identification and a 4mm set screw is included with each gear.
Novak is offering six 32-pitch gear options: 12T, 13T, 14T, 15T, 16T and 17T. In general, the 12T (#5152) and 13T (#5153) gears work well on small, tight tracks; the 14T (#5154) and 15T (#5155) gears perform great on medium-sized tracks; and the 16T (#5156) and 17T (#5157) gears excel on large tracks. There are exceptions when determining the best gearing for specific motors and track conditions, but these gears allow drivers to experiment with gear ratios in the search to find the optimal setup.
