Garmin VIRB & VIRB Elite Action Cameras
It is quite common to see someone at the local bash spot getting some cool on-board footage using a GoPro or other type of action camera on their truck. The latest entry into that market comes from Garmin with their VIRB and VIRB Elite cameras.
What sets the Garmin VIRBs apart is their ability to record for up to 3 hours on one 2000 mah battery and their 1.4″ LCD screen that can be used to preview footage or to navigate menus. Digital image stability helps make video more stable, while Garmin’s ANT+ technology allows you to log GPS coordinates to your video clips. Both models can shoot 1080p at 30 frames per second. The Elite adds WiFi, a built in altimeter, and positioning sensors.
The VIRB will have a street price of $299 while the Elite is a bit higher at $399. Both cameras start shipping in September. For more information simply click This Link.
