Week 7! Aww yea!
OK everyone it’s time to sign up for week 7′s contest!
If you have not heard, we are giving away a Dozen Mystery Vehicles! One a Week for the next 12 weeks! The vehicles may by nitro or electric and are from the following companies: ARRMA RC, Team Durango, Duratrax, and Thunder Tiger!
This week we want to hear your thoughts and feelings about your FAVORITE rc company. It does not have to be one of the companies participating in the contest, but feel free to try for brownie points. In a sentence or two, tell us what company you like the best, and give us a few reasons why. Do they make bashable stuff? You have used their products for years and years, someone suggested you like them.. whatever. We are just curious what the population is digging at the moment. You don’t need to write a book, short and sweet is fine..
Example: I love ARRMA because Big Squid RC reviews tell me to. Lol..
ALL entries must be in by 8pm cst. Monday October 1st. And we will announce a winner at 10pm CST. Don’t worry, the winner will still be random from all valid entries.
Because of shipping issues, this contest is limited to the continental United States Only. Sorry. Getting radio and other equipment overseas and across boarders lately just isn’t that easy any more, and costly.

Hopefully first, but in my seven months in the hobby I’m quite impressed with the warranty work of Traxxas and the quality of engineering of Electrix…just my opinion, but I hope to learn more over time
oh bigsquidrc
oh bigsquidrc

t are a must……
oh bigsquidrc oh bigsquidrc….oh how i love……bigsquidrc.
fasepalm 4 not reedn da rules las week, or dis week.
Losi, cause I like the name.
For a car manufacturer I like Axial they have some of the prettiest cars out there. For a parts manufacturer I’m a Vanquish fan mmm shiny titanium.
I still like Traxxas. I have a mini revo that I bought just after all the reviews a few years ago right when it came out. It is still my baby. It has been very tough, there are a few weaknesses, but it has stood the test of time, and my repeated abuse. They have been around a long time, and they produce good quality RTR vehicles.
Oh so Squiddy ya wants ta know what ole Roosta likes do ya? Well over the years I’ve owned a whole crap load of different R/Cs and right now my fleet is mostly Traxxas, but I do like associated, HPI, Thunder Tiger and Duratrax. I’ve really looked into ARRMA since you guys reviewed their truck and for the price of the LIPO ready ESC it could quite possibly be the next addition to my stable
Only a few months with the hobby. I’m impressed by the durability of the Traxxas line. Parts are easy to get and cheap.
I’d have to say Losi thats all i have gotten a chance to drive I’m new to the sport thats why you should pick me so I can get a taste of what else is out there!!!
I have always liked Associated.
I am currently digging Axial. They make solid products, have a ton of aftermarket support and very fun to bash.
I like Associated Electrics for the wide variety of championship winning vehicles. They make their setups available to the public. I like Traxxas for bashing for how durable the vehicles are.
xman ranks thundr tigr abuv hpi & losi. tt is jus pwnin da 1/8 market. mt4 & eb4 4 da win!
traxxas is @ da absolut bottm of xmans list of fav rc cumpanys.
ayo bri bri how bout nxt week insted of talkn about wich cumpanys we luv, we get 2 rant about da 1s we hate!!!!!
COME ON LUCKY 7… THIS IS MY TURN 2 WIN… ;{
Traxxas, mainly cuz i bash my cars so hard and I don’t want to wait a week or 2 for parts. Every shop has parts for traxxas.
I’m fairly new to the hobby, under a year, and so far I’ve really only delt with Traxxas. The hobby shop near my house carries a lot of Traxxas stuff and it is always easy to get parts. I started with a Bandit VXL and converted it to a Rustler, I’m very happy with the car and the way it is set up now it is a pretty sturdy basher.
I’ve always been a fan of Kyosho and still have an Ultima from circa 1988 sitting on my shelf alongside my current RB5 and Ultima SC-R. I also love Tamiya (my on-road cars) and Team Associated.
I have only owned traxxas because are hobby town really only stocks that company. Always have the parts I need after bashing or smashing into a fence. Always get good customer service.
I prefer Axial because their products are mostly scale and they have an eye for small details. I own two SCX10 and an EXO.
Bye
I like OFNA electric buggies specifically the Hyper 9e, i like them because they make a very balanced awesome handling durable buggy. What i also like about them is the way their cars drive i feel like i can drive my hyper 9e buggy very aggressively but be in complete control. =0
HPI, probably cause that was my first. Now i have an e-revo 1/16 its quick and fun.
I think traxxas deserves some credit. They are willing to take a risk and have pioneered some new classes of r.c. Competition. They may not build an uber race rig, but they have brought more fans to rc than anybody else.
Entry
I know it’s not quite what you’re thinking, but I have always loved old school Tyco rc cars. Sure they were just toys, but they were a big part of the fun I had as a kid and a big reason for being into everything now.
Big squid is the bomb
One more day one more entry to try to win
I like Team Durango, Team Associated, Traxxas, and Custom Works. Ive raced all these brands over time and non of them ever let me down. TD and TA make great racers and always kept me up front. Traxxas, great fun and basher, yet a racer too that one me a championship. Custom Works makes the best for oval racing, also gave me my first oval win along with 3 more races back to back. I love them all!!!
7 th time is the charm
We love losi because try as I might we can’t seem to kill them.
I like the inexpensive and durable ECX line of vehicles….buuuut, I could definitely be persuaded to back the ARRMA brand if I were to say….win a free one!!
I really like the durability of Traxxas. My son and I race E Revos and my daughter races a Slash. I also like the fact that parts and upgrades are readily available
I love turtles.
…and Arrma and Team Durango for bash and race because BSRC showed me the way.
I want in…..Pls pick me…LOL
My favorite is HPI because they make kick a#@ bashing RC’s. I beat the heck out of my Savage’s and Trophy Truggy and their customer support has been great to me.
I am a fan of AE and TLR. I thought I would say this even though I can’t win a prize in this contest. Can’t ship to Canada? I buy 3/4 of my gear from the US and have never had issues with shipping…
Traxxas, Just becuase I am a true basher and when I need a part, I just drive 15 minutes to the hobby shop and spend between 3-5 bucks and fix it and bash some more!
Love that ARRMA is trying to update the current trends in RC chassis design, the TVP’s are really cool (and make you feel like you’re driving an HPI Savage!)
I like Traxxas because they are the sponsor of the TORC series we race in. Also like Hot Bodies because my 1/8th scale buggy ROCKS!
Exceed RC got me into the hobby due to the low prices..My drift star held up well, and I risked getting a monster truck..something I could jump. That was a mistake and I broke every pack I tried. Went Traxxas then, and had a lot better success. Was breaking every 3-4 packs but using RPM parts after breaking made them much stronger. Traxxas has been good and I try and steer people who talk to me about RCs to traxxas for there Part support at EVERY hoby store. However I recently got a Thunder Tiger mt4 g3…WOW! that is how RCs should be made!
OFNA makes darn good vehicles. Good solid basher vehicles. The quality you get for the money can’t be beat. My favorites , the Hyper 10TT, takes a beating and just keeps coming back for more and the NEXX10SC , this truck can hang with the big boys, hands down and mine has yet to break , while my boy’s Losi is always breaking something. It’s not all about the name.. it’s about quality.
I love Traxxas because their line up seems to incorporate everything a beginning RC enthusiast as myself is looking for when it comes to RTR RC.
I am so excited to drive something new
I’m in love with ARRMA, military class RC that’s the toughest on the planet, oh and of course because of Big Squid RC reviews whom I trust!!!
I like Compass Helicopters I feel they make the best rc helicopters.
I am new to this hobby and have only owned Traxxas, and I love how much of a beating they can take. They may not be the best racer but for bashing I think they are number one.
I love pain Durango because their stuff is top notch and they win races
Novak because they’re support is top notch and their ESC’s are simple to use and reliable and put down the rubber. Also, I like that they manufacture and build everything right here in the USA and still compete price-wise with the overpriced importers (Orion, etc).
I think Traxas is best for basher type cars … Summit it does everything and all there other rc’s can take a serious beating for sure!! So for bashing traxxas gets my vote
I hve and had alot of traxxas rc’s and they are tuffest of all…. my 1/10 summit is awesome and my 1/16 summit is tuff as nails!!
I gotta say my Traxxas slashes, 2×4 and 4×4. With those two I can make 10 different trucks by swapping some parts. And I can find replacements EVERYWHERE.
I have only an EXC so i guess they are my favorite! I guess thats why i need to win to get a different brand to compare!
I like ECX/Eletrix. I picked up a Ruckus before it was reviewed here, and been having a blast with it. After the review of the Ruckus and the Torment here at Big Squid, I really appreciate how this company has brought a good bashable product to those who are just starting out.
I love traxxas because my rustler has been reliable and easy to find parts and fix it.
I only have experience with Traxxas, but the company that is really interesting to me is Arrma due to Big Squid’s reviews. I think my next car/truck will be an Arrma for my kids to bash.
ECX has been my new favorite and is very underrated. I hope they realize what they have and start releasing higher end race vehicles to lesson the burden of mods and upgrades. They have a great platform and they should use it in all aspects of the hobby. Not just entry level…
I have been lucky to own many rc vehicles. from the first tamiya kits to the newest rtr like duratrax, hpi, hotbodies, losi, traxxas, redcat. and read many of the rc magazines.by far one of the best is bigsquid . as every one knows if you are not racing you are bashing. if you are not are running and rc car, truck, buggy, boat, aircraft.they are all good.
I like Tekno RC Products! They make quality stuff for my traxxas! I would love to own their new 8th scale…
Losi has been a good brand for me.
Tamiya. They were among the pioneers in the industry.
Traxxas because Peter Vieira is one funny mofo.
Since all cars break at some point, I like companies based almost completely on parts support so I can bash non-stop! Mostly traxxas and Associated.
There’s a lot of great brands in RC today. But I am most impressed with Team Associated RC’s. For racing and durability, you can’t go wrong with AE!
I like the TRAXXAS, HPI and the best TEAM ASSOCIATED why do i like them becuase i own their products.
Losi is my favorite, followed closley by HPI. Losi for racing and quality. HPI for bashing and thinking outside the box.
Team Durango -with all the new rtr they are pushing the bar and given some much needed competion in our hobby – trying to sell my slash 4×4 so i can give the DESC410R a try – or Big Squid could pick me and ill smash them head on and see who wins
Need to bash awesome free stuff
They aren’t very bashable (except the EPP versions), but 3DHS makes great flying planes.
My first was Traxxas E-Max and Slash but now looking at losi 5ive-T love the size
Got to love Durango’s DESC410r best looking sct out there an the dex408. Could you possibly make a better looking race buggy? They put the time in to them to perform an look good while doing so. An not everyone at the track has one.
Time for a new ride!
My first truck was a Traxxas Slash, second 1/16 revo, third 4wd Slash, 4th Associated B4.1 RTR. Why was the 4th something other than Traxxas? Because after the Slash 4wd they stopped making products that appealed to me. I was looking to improve my skills and wanted something track worthy and Traxxas was focusing on 100mph street cars and funny cars. Now, if Traxxas puts out a 1/10 – 1/8 size scale buggy to compete with the Exo Terra I will be all over it.
Right now I love HPi for their Savage XS Flux.
But I don’t mind getting a free RC from another company!
I’d bash it till it’s dead and youtube it for your entertainment
no matter who you’re a fanboy of… proline has to cross your path with their solid products. there are other shoes out there… but theirs seem to give my trucks the best fit.
like all ya’ guys, love all ya’ll reviews
go go go
LoveFest happening here, TRAXXAS is very good at what they do and that is customer service. Product is excellent but its only as good as the people that back you(customer)up when a question comes along.
I think Thunder Tiger deserves a lot of credit for building tough, fun and affordable Monster Trucks.
I am a newb. Only 3 months. Spent the first month doing nothing cause car broke in the first day. I currently have a Slash for racing. I am fond of Novak electronics and motors. RPM for arms and shock towers. Love HPI blitz adjustable shocks and just so that the sponsorship programs work, Panther tire. I met a guy who was sponsored and he was so helpful, let me try and keep some tires, I’m hooked. But most of all before I purchase anything I come to BigSquid RC and find the review before I purchase anything.
Though I’m currently running a TT MT4 G3, my favorite is probably Traxxas. Probably one of the only companies out there that you can make a complete running vehicle purely out of aftermarket parts. And, they are based right here in the greatest state in the Union…Texas.
I have been hooked on RC since Traxxas had a demonstration at my local drag races in June. Since then I have bought 2 Traxxas vehicles but would love to try another brand. Please pick me & quit changing the rules every week.
I really prefer HPI because all of their vehicles never experience parts shortages (see Bullet MT Flux review) and they always meet their deadlines for their newly launched products (see Cub report from 9-17)….. on second thought, lets go with Axial. I LOVE scale looks with bashability mixed in.
page after page, review after review. choose one favorite? thats a chore by itself… kinda hard to do w-o leavin someone out that is right there at the top. but if i had to, i mean REALLY REALLY had to choose……………TRAXXAS. BUT, i only have traxxas so, im biased to a degree, sure would b nice to have another breand….HINT HINT!!!
When I win this weeks prize it will actually be my first RC vehicle. I hear a lot about traxxas from my friends so I guess that would have to be my favorite.
Traxxas as a basher because most every LHS will carry parts for them and there is good aftermarket support if you want to customize or upgrade for increased durability.
My turn
I like Traxxas because they are really good with customer service, they make tuff trucks, and when they do break you could practically go into walmart and get parts since parts availability is top notch!
I am new to the hobby and only have experience with Traxxas, but the cars are very fun and it is really easy to get parts locally when I need them right away.
Well, I really do not know much about R.C. vehicles but my husband just got his 1st and he really loves it and I would love to win one so I could give it to him. I know he would LOVE ANY product.
I like HPI because the Savage Flux HP is a beast and bought one based partially on BSRC reviews. Thinking of an ARRMA Raider for my nephews due to the BSRC review on it.
Traxxas is a great company. There is a wall of traxxas parts in every lhs. There warranty on electronics is second to none. I do think though there are getting to big for there on good. Any comments?
Associated is my fav. Mainly because they have proven to be quality vehicles, and have withstood the test of time in my opinion.
I like traxxas because BIGSQUIDRC thrashes them the sane way I do
I love Axial because they make the best rc crawler stuff out there. The fact that they’re expanding wthi awesome rides like the Exo is all the more better!
Thunder Tiger line has been good entry level RTR. Easy to work on needs just a few upgrades to make it bash able.
i really have to say tamiya…its what got me started in rc. jeesh got to be about 20+ years ago my friend came home with a grasshopper and i just had to have one. took a whole summer of begging my mom to get me one but i got it. awhile back i built one up from parts off ebay to relive the car…few months later tamiya re-raleased it. lol
I have to go with Associated. They got me into this many years ago with the RC10 gold tub. They still seem to make great vehicles made for racing in a serious way.
I would say Axial. They make awesome trucks, there customer service is great, nice designs, and very strong crawlers. I have a scx10 that I have had for 2 years now. It’s been to over 25 states, and Canada. Keep doing great work big squid!
In it to win it!
Tamiya.. love the scale and slow fun.
Tupac without a nose Ring!
Thunder Tiger. I have beat the snot out of my TT MT4 G3
i wanna win
I like Traxxas for the durability, and how easy it is to get parts. Although I have had my eye on the Axial EXO.
Im starting to get into Team Durango. The durability and the sponsored driver at my local track are huge influences. A sponsored driver helps cut down on the learning curve of setup as well as a great resource for driving tips.
I like all the brands. I think each brand has a demographic that they play too. I think traxxas and hpi are the best all around companies. They have something for everybody.
Tamiya. It all started with the Hornet, my first hobby grade R/C. By today’s standards the heavy solid axle rear and friction-shock front swing arms would be a joke. But, I drove that thing every day and the parts support by CRP, Parma, and others kept it interesting.
dare i say i love the kyosho miniz’s? because when everythings busted, or the weather is lousy, my hardwood floors are always open for drifting. thunder tiger mt4 is on my list of ‘do wants’ because it seems like it was made for the skatepark down the street.
but overall, right favorite company would have to axial, my scx10 is a daily driver, can be driven anywhere, and looks plain trick, no matter what body/wheels are used. tamiya has been faltering for a while, axial is the scale masters. rc4wd rules too
Started with a Tamiya Blackfoot, moved to Associated RC10 (late 80′s era)returned to RC with a Traxxas Revo and now own a Slash.Traxxas has some good stuff and excellent support.
im running out of rhymes
so ill put this one
just for the fun times
For bashability… I love the Traxxas Revo with serious bashing upgrades!!! RPM Suspension Arms… GorillaMaxx Chassis… K-Factory Rocker Arms… MIP Driveshafts… RRP Gears… FLM Tranny Case… HiTec Servos… Spektrum Tx & Rx… Lunsford Turnbuckles & Posts… Proline 40 Series Wheels & Tires… Tekin Brushless Setup… Okay it was a Traxxas Revo when I started! It was my play rig until someone else thought they wanted it more.
I love my exceed rc drift car. once you replace the horrible servo and tune the suspension, it is one FUN car to hoon with
Team associated, I have a j82, sc10, ntc3, tc5, and an mt4g3. I like them best because they gave me my first rc. I had a traxxas slash, but sold it. Next rc probably won’t be associated though.
When i started this hobby, oh so many years ago, i got into it to race. First car was a Losi JRX2. Second car was a Losi XX, then i got a Losi XXX-T. Losi has always been my go to car. Ive tried HPI, ive tried Associated, and i am always much more consistent and steady with Losi. The Associated was faster, but it broke more, and i couldnt keep it fast. So Losi it is.
Yeah!
love traxxas and electrix, but duratrax does have design issues, like dog bones and the drive system
Mammuth Works because of that hilarious first run video.
I’m serious guys I would rather win it than buy it ,but my next rc. TEAM DURANGO BABY
I am an Associated fan for my racing vehicles, but Traxxas is what I use to bash.
This is great!
Bash and crash with Traxxas is what I do. When I need parts, my LHS has the parts in stock.
LOSI, HPI, AND DURATRAX IS WHAT I ROLL WITH. HPI NITRO, EVADER BRUSHLESS AND LOSI
I will always be partial to Tamiya as with many “older” racers my first exposer to the hobby was assembling a Tamiya kit. They always do things a little different and don’t necessarily follow the trends (short course truck?), but they do kits right, and I hope they will still be around when my son wants to build his first car.
I like Traxxas, have had a Rustler for over 15 years and still going strong.
Love my slash but tired of breaking it on 1/8 scale power. Would love an 1/8 buggy!
My favorite cars and trucks are Redcat Racing, I have a nitro shockwave buggy and a nitro volcano truck. I also own a Traxxas T maxx and a Duratrax raze buggy. For the money you can’t go wrong with a Redcat vehicle. Mine have been very durable. Same parts break as in the other brands but like I said, overall a lot cheaper to run.
I have been partial to Team Associated. I have been out of the hobby for about 18 to 20 years. My first car was a Kyosho Pegasus until it broke and upgraded to a Team Associated RC10 gold chassis. I would go over to a friends house and we would jump bike ramps, rip and burn through the woods and the car took it all, well except for a slight tweak in the chassis. I did run a few races, outdoor off road track and an indoor oval. The RC10 at the time was pretty versatile to be able toi set up for both. It was just natural that now I am easing back in I went with an SC10. I have had my eye on Team Durango and they do seem to be nice and would consider running one for a second class.
I like ECX because they make durable parts that do not break very easy. You can smash em’ and bash em’, but it is quite hard to break.
Traxxas is by far my favorite due to the fact you can crash em bash em, heck run em into a wall and they still run. Minor things break on all RC,s but traxxas seems to take a lickin and keep on tickin.. Bigsquid has done many reviews in the recent past to prove this.
Still AE, The original.
For Bashability it is the Traxxas. Great Rigs. Cheap Parts. High Availability.
For Racing… The O’Donnell line. Bring them back. I run like a basher and they survive…
Traxxas defiatly has great waterproofing skills buy i aalso love hpi for their durabilty parts support and wide range of vehicles
stuck doing homework
needed a rest
see if i can win a new rc
in bigsquids contest
Many years ago my favorite was my Tamiya Blackfoot…now my kids have gotten into the hobby with Diratrax, but I still like my old school Tamiya Blackfoot basher.
I like Big Squid because they give away free stuff
I would like this more if you picked 1 set of rules & didn’t change them every week.Too confusing.Write an essay,write a rap,write a rhyme,crap!!!!!!!
I like Traxxas because they make almost all types of vehicles. But I like ARRMA because their vehicles have the same features but are built stronger than Traxxas’s vehicles are.
P.S. What exactly is a desert truck?
Losi, Their quality and precision is second to none.
It turns out that Losi is my favorite company. I quickly came to that conclusion when I realized that I’ve owned more Losi RC cars than any other brand. From my first Micro -T to my XXX-SCT, and all the micros, minis, and crawlers in between, their products always put a smile on my face. I don’t care much for Horizon customer service lately, but I do like Losi.
Duratrax makes good vehicles & accessories at good value. I purchase several Duratrax products and have lasted me for years. I would highly recommend their chargers. lipos, vehicles and accessaries. GO DURATRAX! or GO HOME!.. My approval goes to Team Durango is a great engineer product for racing no wonder it makes it to finish line first.
I like Team Durango for their race track ready cars and trucks.
7 is my lucky number
Team C does it for me
I am enamoured with Tamiya kits. On road and rally cars with realistic features that rival those of static models. The monster trucks are the coolest looking in the business. Bulletproof transmissions for the most part, have you ever put a mmm w/ a 4-pole in a Lunchbox? The gearbox makes a rather distinctive sound, it sounds like the laughter of children.
Gens Ace makes a really good battery I use the 7.4V 65C 5000mah lipo hands down the best battery I have ever owned and it was under 50 bucks.
I like Traxxas because of the endless option parts and other accessories which are easily available.
I liked tamyia for my first buggy/truck . I got a falcon then got a bruiser back then
Now I rock an assorted arsenal or cars/trucks
From hpi ,associated, electrix , axial, traxxas and still tamyia
But I’d have to say traxxas for their unbelievable
Bashing abilitys and speed . But that’s what I know I’ve never ran any other
RC brands but would definitely love to try out any other
Please let me win!
Thunder Tiger MT4-g3 king of the monster trucks. bash all day and don’t break much unless on 6s, and I’m always on 6s.
AT THIS TIME I’M ROLLIN W/HPI MT2 NITRO STADIUM TRUCK, 1/10 SCALE, REPLACED POWER W/A BIG BLOCK. WATCH OUT ON THE BLOCK.. IT IS FAST! ;{
I am liking the looks of Durango these days. They seem to re-evaluate how an r.c. car is designed and improve each aspect of the car. I like a company that thinks for themselves rather than re-gurgitating existing products.
i like duratrax, my first real rc truck was a evader and still have it, its had a rough life with almost no broken parts and im in the process of restoring it.
My preference is with hip and the awesome and bash able Hpi savage hp. Though I would like to see some liquid filled differentials to quiet it down, thing thing is a beast. Hoping for a win this round!
Darned if this thing didn’t autocorrect. Hip is suppose to be HPI. Sorry folks.
I love Big Squid because they have free stuff
Each manufacturer has they’re own plus’s and minus’s. The quality of Team Associated probably makes them really high on my list. The fact that they cannot take a beating like Traxxas stings though. Axial stuff is great for what it is, but you have to make them your own. Finally HPI is good everywhere but parts support. I have 2 traxxas products, 2 axial products, 1 team associated and 1 hpi. As far as my favs in order, associated, axial, traxxas, hpi.
id like to win an evader
im not a duratrax hater
the rhyme thing is over genius, read the rules.
I like all RC companies because it is good clean fun the whole family can enjoy.
Still Traxxas…
An essay? lmao
I’d have to say I’m pro Associated. When I was 13 I bought my first truck with hard earned lawn mowing money. It was a T3. My buddies and I all bought stadium trucks and raced them in one of the guy’s backyards once a week or so and bashed em all week long. I sold that truck to one of those guys when I was 16 and more interested in real cars. Probably for gas money. I recently found out he still had it bought it back and now have plans of switching her over to brushless and 2.4 ghz, but thats it, not changing anything else on the outside. Since I’ve been keeping my eyes open for deals on those now “vintage” trucks and we are building a track in our backyard now for our kids… and maybe a little for me too. Now we will have our race/bash sundays. I have owned other brands including Traxxas, Caster and a couple Helis but I have to stick with AE for the childhood memories and the fact that they make a quality product. But I’m sure I will buy other stuff down the road as well…getting the itch for a crawler. We’ll just have to see what the ole budget will allow.
Thanks Squid, This beats daily comments.
Mark
A lot of the stuff Thunder Tiger put’s out is pretty awesome, and a good price. That new truggy for instance, who else is even putting out a brushless 1/8 truggy besides HPI?
For many though Traxxas is still tops…they take abuse, large aftermarket, although brushless RTR models are a bit steep considering the alternatives.
Hpi because it sounds cool
Most of my experience within the past 7 yrs have mostly been with Traxxas only because it’s just about the only brand my lhs carry in parts. I have had some experience with exc brand and other non surface brands through horizon and i will have to say there customer service has been great. As far as toughness i have put my Traxxas trucks through some hefty beatings. I know my son who is 6 has run his monster jam stampede into numerous trees, trash cans, garage doors and brick walls with no damage only thing i’ve replace on it was the titan motor which seems to be every stampede xl5 owner.
I like Traxxas because they have excellent customer service, great products, and great fun!
2ND, I OWN A BRUSHLESS EVADER BY DURATRAX. RUNNING ON REG BATTERIES, I SOON WILL BY BUYING A LIPO 2 REALLY MAKE IT MOVE…. I DID CHANGE THE LID 2 A DT COVER……OOHH YAA
I love good ol’ Traxxas ’cause I don’t drive so good and they just keep tickin!
I think all the brands of vehicles distributed by hobbico are the best that money can buy! If you are a racer they have Durango. If you are a basher they have arma, duratrax, and thunder tiger. With Hobbico you can’t go wrong!
the sc10b is really cool
but a free rc at my doorstep would really make me drool
associated rules for making the best products out there
May this week
I like Duratrax because they leave the r&d to the consumer instedad of addressing known problems.
I like traxxas becase most of their 1/10 trucks come with shock fluid spraying machines.
I like Arrma because they annoyingly stick “mega” on everything.
I like Helion because of contadicting reviews.
I like Redcat because they go BOOM!
By far I have to say Team Associated is my favorite. Not only do they make quality vehicles for racing, but they make vehicles strong enough to fly over a longbed pickup 6 times with zero breakage. People can claim they make race vehicles not able to bash but that is false. Also, the handling out of the box (in my case kit) is gorgeous. Dial it in to your specific track and the machine is gold on wheels.
LOSI, 1/5 SCALE IS NEXT… THAT MY FUTURE TRUCK.. OOHH YYAA!! ;{
I like the Traxxas products because of the quality and avalibility of parts. Their warranty is what keeps people coming back. Thanks again BigSquidRC for chance to win an awesome car.
HPI owns right now. The vorza and savage flux hp are build like tanks and tons of fun.
I have two vehicles right now, one is a traxxas, the other is an axial. Let just say the traxxas still runs and the axial is in a box because I can’t afford to replace the whole drivetrain. Traxxas makes solid simple vehicles and because of their success their parts are readily available an inexpensive. Until someone has the stones to get aggressive and innovate some new products Traxxas will be on top for a while.
I love my Traxxas but would love to try another.
I would LOVE any free R.C. product!
I don’t have an R.C. vehicle but would love one.
I think traxxas is #1 in bash ability and replacement parts
But any RC that’s free is probally even better lol
So pick me and I’ll bash the living snot outa it
Thunder Tiger is doing a great job at putting out reasonably priced kits that hold up well to bashing. They have also put out a good selection. Buggy, truggy, rally, short course, monster truck.
I’m all about Losi. TLR rocks!!
traxxas has the best costumer support period. the parts are widely available, but id like to see a nice plastic to aluminum ratio
20 years in the hobby, many rides from many companies but I have always liked my AE rides best.
Please let me win.
Gonna go with my new Team C. This company has the deep pockets to do it right. Look out Traxxis!
i like traxxas. part support is great at my LHS’s and there are tons of hops up parts for them. i would like a new monster truck from them that is totally original and not a rehash of their other fleet vehix.
I hear that you can get traxxas parts pretty easy. That’ll be good for someone like me that’s just getting into RC vehicles.
The best basher out there is the one Big Squid might give me.
Or the Traxxas because I can find parts after I bash it to death.
Tamiya is hands-down my FAVORITE rc company, and primarily because it seems that when they make an rc kit they forget they aren’t making a scale model. From the scale detail to the quality of the instructions, Tamiya is top shelf. And they have something for everybody; if you can’t find something you dig at Tamiya, you’re in the wrong hobby!
I love Mammuth Works because of that hilarious first run video.
my first car rc10 .Last rc E-REVO .I have never owned any of the products you are giving away but have heard good things about all of them P.S.The new THUNDER TIGER ST4G3 BRUSHLESS TRUGGY IS GOING TO BE AWESOME
Traxxas is great because they have done so much to promote the hobby to the nation. This allows the smaller companies to gain exposure.
Looking for a new RC to drive
Still traxxas even tho I broke mine in half
Dumb mail box jumped in the middle of the ramp
Lol but my axial likes the mamba max pro that
Was donated do to a broken truck
IT’S ALMOST TIME 4 THE WEEKS PICK….. LET DIS BE THE WINNING COMMENT.. DADDY NEEDS A NEW AND DIFFERENT RC!! ;{
I like Futaba because it’s FASST!
Durango has some very innovative designs and they are a force to reckon with on the track.
Although there are a lot og Great brands out there. Traxxas has to be my favorite since they use common parts between platforms and are still hobby grade enough to take a beating and if I need a part I can buy them almost anywhere and buy each part separately instead of buying a whole tree. Runner s up are HPI and Tekin for excellent customer service
I love any brand that gives me a free R.C.
I would love any brand that was given just so I could give it to my husband and hopefully he won’t spend any more money on R.C. stuff for a while, doubtful he will though.
X-Factory because they’re always there for the “family” and make awesome cars that really push boundaries.
I still like Traxxas….it has been very good to me.
Couple of years in the hobby and I AM A HPI FAN. So far, I have 3 HPI Blitz’s customized to different levels. Here is why.
1. Bashadurability-Just made this word up. I am simply amazed at the torture my Blitz has endured and come out un-broken. It is un-real. The jumps i thought would (20+ feet) cause my Blitz to die have resulted in broken A-arms.
2. Reliability-100+ runs with the stock Firebolt motor and no issues.I race with my friend whose SC truck (leading brand)motor fries at the rate of once/15-20 runs, before we went brushless.
When i entered the hobby, i did not have a high opinion of HPI as my hobby shop does not carry a lot of parts for HPI. Now i know why. They simply don’t need them.
Traxxas is my favorite because I bash and parts are in stock 10 minutes away. Thunder Tiger is gaining ground because the MT4 G3 can take a serious pounding and I rarely need parts.
I am a big fan of Kyosho since my first race level buggy was a turbo optima mid way back when, but their distribution here in the U.S. is rubbish at best. I would love to try the new scorpion buggy, but having to wait weeks on end for parts doesn’t cut it.
I like Axial vehicles for their unique styling and aftermarket support.
when i got my first rc i didnt know what was wrong with it and sent it to hpi. they noticed i had a beat up body and stock battery so when i got my package back they sent a brand new body and higher mah battery. i couldnt haveased for abetter first rc experience
Sticken with Team C and Associated, they seem to take the punishment and are truly NOT toys.
I like Traxxas the best because I have owned a slash 4×4 since the day my hobby store stocked them and the durability is astounding. Others can hate all they want but there is no doubt in my mind that Traxxas makes some solid products.
I like Thunder tiger because the one I have is very tough.
today is the day. And I still love traxxas.
Kyosho is where it’s at. Tough to build, right. Tough to get parts for. Tough getting ahold of Kyosho. Tough to find setups. Easy to win.
……….. But, listening to AE and Losi fanboys say how much better ______ is, is what really makes me love my kyosho.
Only a few months with the hobby. I’m impressed by the durability of the Traxxas line. Parts are easy to get and cheap.
Only a few months with the hobby.
pick me please
I am a big fan of Arrma and Durango, but I can’t win anyway. Too bad you can’t offer prizes to your friends from Canada. We support your sponsors…
Another day another entry
Thunder tiger plz
The best basher is the one that works when I use it…that is my trusty old RC10 gold pan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For now, I guess that I like Traxxas best, since Mammuth Works hasn’t put up another “amazing” first run video.
The SC10 buggy rocks
I WOULDNT MIND WINNING A TEAM DURANGO RC, THEY LOOK COOL. ;{
My week is coming
LOSI, rhymes with, GOSEE if any of the other drivers still want to race after i spanked em so hard the first time! WOO!
Traxxas
HPI is BATMAN! Nuff said!
ok its my turn i need another R/C vehicle please??
I still love Tamiya just because of the memories of getting a Blackfoot for Christmas and putting it together with my dad.
still gonna go with tamiya for the simple fact they got me into the hobby.for racing…..
My Thundertiger MT4G3 because I rarely land on my wheels. Takes a lickin and keeps on kickin
Me
Just picked up a MT4, and so far it’s great. Puts the Stampede 4×4 to shame. Hopefully it continues to hold together. TT rules.
ITS TIME FOR THE WEEKLY WINNER TO BE FROM SO.CAL./WEST COAST… ME ;{
I love Traxxas because they are the best
I Love Associated because the Big Squid RC reviews tell me to.
Associated. I like alot of brands but i feel associated has some of the best stuff out there. Some of there race breeds are very bashable because they dont skimp out on parts. Everything brakes but they just seem to last a bit longer then others. hint hint mt4
I like Traxxas
i think that all of us can agree that redcat sucks. losi always brings some good shocks to the table and there stuff is fun and durable….go losi!
I’m an Associated guy. When they came out with the RC10 goldpan it was a game changer!!!
I love Thunder Tiger GT4 3G couse there BASHER APPROVED!!
well lets try again please pick me??
Yes…love the quality of Associated and Team C. I am not a romantic when it comes to racing, after all they are just tools, but some just seem to be more proffessional than others.
ECX, they are inexpensive to pick up, fun to bash, smash and abuse… and then inexpensive to put back together again to rinse and repeat the next day.
oh thy awesomest BigSquidRCeth, winneth me one Rc vehicleth for me to enjoyeth and basheth!! thankseth
I love my SC10 it is easy to work on and fun to drive. Team Associated makes high quality trucks!
I LOVE TAMIYA BECAUSE THEY STILL SELL KITS AND RETRO CARS AND TRUCKS
Traxxas is the best because of the Summit.
Not sure if this will count for week 8 or not???? I said last week that Traxxas has been my fav but they were loosing me. I see today they are coming out with a 1/10 rally that might get me back if it shares some parts with the slash. Otherwise I have been dreaming of Durangos lately and have even considered making a total switch. Maybe winning a Durango will push me over the edge.
pik mee
It is hard to beat a Traxxas Slash 4×4
We like Traxxas but,it is the only company we have tried. We are very new to R.C. and would love to win any kind or brand.
Enter me please
4×4 buggy is where it’s at!
I want mine before Obama wins one
traxxas is awesome, too bad they came out with another slash 4×4 :p (the 1/10 rally)
so are we on week 8 yet? week 8 is almost over already
Ecx is doing a very good job at the entry level market. The new 1/8 buggies look good
ummm Traxxas still this week.
Traxxas to Bash. RPM to help…
Love Axial they set the bar high for others to follow… Wraith, honcho, Exo… need I say more ?
My time is coming.
I LOVE THE KYOSHO BIG BRUTE! RETRO ANYONE?
Team Associated Rocks!
Hard to beat the price and durability of HPI, but i think ECX is closing in!!
Associated and HPI and a little bit of TRAXXAS are my favorite they can take a beating land on their wheels and keep on going but I would mind tryin out a DURANGO.
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GET A LOSI 1/8 SALE NITRO.
I love Traxxas because my wife can’t even kill it with her no skill driving. Within five minutes of taking the controller she flipped it and rolled it turning at full speed, the truck just shook it off and kept going.
Winning this contest is harder than DC training in GITMO in July.
cmon big squid you guys are lagging up the @$$ with week 8′s post entry i want a chance to win for week 8. Its already the end of the week…
