Adam the Intern got his hands on a new Speed Passion RS2 stadium truck, so we thought we’d do a quick and dirty unboxing here at IHobby. If Adam the Intern reviews it, and it doesn’t break, you can be assured that it’s a tough truck.

The Big Squid Booth Babes, Mandi, Aurora and Adrianna, take the track drone out for a spin… and a flip… and a roll… and a crash into the wall.

HPI Racing recently announced a couple of sweet looking shells for the Savage XS. Both the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and Chevtrolet El-Camino SS bodies come with decals and masks, and are made from durable 0.030″ polycarbonate.

HPI Mini-Trophy Truck Ivan Stewart Toyota ShellIf you fancy making your HPI Mini-Trophy look a little more original, then this retro replica of Ivan Stewart’s 1997  Toyota Baja truck is just what the doctor ordered! It comes pre-painted in the original color scheme, complete with decals: awesome!

Check out the HPI Racing website for more information.

Redcat has quite a bit of stuff worth looking at in their booth at IHobby. These are their still relatively new line of 1/6 scale brushless powered vehicles. All of them are called the Shredder, but are designated by XB for the 4wd buggy, XT for the Stadium Truck, and SC for the Short Course Truck. All of them include LiPos and a 2.4 GHz radio system. They’re available now for about $500.

Check out the Redcat Racing website for more info. You can read our review of the Shredder SC here.

Caster Racing have sent us a very small teaser picture of what looks like a short course truck! We’ve been told that it will be based on their 4wd buggy platform, so option parts will be plentiful. ZOMGWTFBBQ We’re looking forward to the release!

And we have our first demo give away winner! This lucky fan walked away with a brand new HPI Mini Trophy Truck of his very own. All he had to do was be here and yell louder than every one else. Congrats to Danny B.

Our next give away will be during our 3:00 demo today. Drive fast to get here!

Much thanks to HPI Racing for providing the give away vehicles for today’s demos!

Here is our first official UN…TUBING! This is one of the new Duratrax Brushless Motors! This is the 17.5T/2250kV motor 540-size sensored motor that is handwound, and features precision ball bearings and neodymium magnets. Enjoy the pics from iHobby 2011 and look for a review in the future!

One of the many new things being shown by Redcat at this year’s IHobby is the Twister Dune Runner buggy. It’s not your typical buggy design with a twin vertical plate chassis and bottom loading battery setup. This guy also features a 3900kv brushless system, paired to a 2.4 GHz radio system. It’s not available yet, the Redcat gang are expecting it to arrive in their warehouses in the next couple to few weeks, and they should start selling it shortly after that. Price has yet to be determined.

Keep an eye on the Redcat website for more info.

Our surface drone dropped by the Losi/Horizon booth to check out the 5IVE-T.

And that means we’re GIVING AWAY STUFF! Be here for one of our demos, at 11:00am and then again at 3:00pm for a chance to win a HPI Mini Trophy Truck or the brand spankin’ new Savage Flux XS! Plus we have tons of t-shirts to give away and some other stuff too. Gotta be here to win though, so get out of bed and get over to the Donald E Stephens convention center in Rosemont. Right now.

The tractor pullers of the NR/CTPA (National Radio Control Truck Pulling Association to you noobs) is out here in full force with a huge collection of weed wacker and brushless powered pulling trucks. These things are a sight to see when they’re pulling their loaded down trailer along the dirt runway. They’ll have a full schedule of heats all through the weekend, so if you’re coming, be sure to check them out. For more info on the NR/CTPA, be sure to check out their website.
