RC Cheat Sheets app now on Android

So now Team Associated has come to their senses and released their RC Cheat Sheets smart phone app for Android based phones. It shares all the same features as the iPhone version, but now it works on phones that don’t require you to wear black turtleneck shirts and thick framed glasses. Some of those features include setup sheets for most AE cars and trucks, a lap counter, maintenance checklist, and various calculators for gear ratio, roll out, final drive ratio, and transmission ratio. There’s a ton of other tools included as well and since it’s only $2.99 in the Android Market, it won’t cost you a lot to find out what else is in there.

Novak says hello Moto… err… Android…

Novak has finally come to their senses and put their NovaGear App on the Android platform. It’s the same thing as the iPhone/iPod/iPad version, so you can expect all the same features but now on a phone that is actually capable of NOT dropping calls (HA! TAKE THAT IPHONE FANBOYS & BRIAN!).

For the unaware in the group, the NovaGear app is useful for figuring out what kind of gearing is best paired with your choice of motor/esc combo and vehicle.

The NovaGear app is now available from the Android Market for only 99 cents. And, of course, it’s also still available for the iDevices through the iTunes App Store. For all the info on what this app can do and how it might be worth adding to your tool kit, click on over to the Novak website.

Speed Passion mobile app finally available on Android devices

Speed Passion has finally released their popular R/C Car A1 app for Android mobile phones. The iPhone version of the app, which was released some time ago has also received an update to fix some bugs and spelling issues.

Just to refresh your memory, this app provides you with all kinds of tools, such as a lap timer/stop watch, gear ratio and rollout calculator, complete setup sheets for different cars and tracks that allow you to record all kinds of vehicle variables, and also Social Media sharing that allows you to post your information to a special area of Speed Passion’s web site or to your Facebook account.

This will also be the App that you use to setup their upcoming Reventon ESC via bluetooth. The current versions of this app are available through both the Android Market and iTunes App Store for $2.99. Check out the Speed Passion web site for all the details.
