Xpartus Carbon Fiber Kit Duratrax Nissan Camaro
There is a new company on the scene called Xpartus making some very trick carbon fiber upgrade parts for the Duratrax Nissan GTR and Camaro ZL1 nitro touring cars. Their first release is an entire carbon fiber upgrade kit to make the Duratrax cars tougher, faster, and to boost their bling factor. We have had a bunch of good times driving our review Duratrax Nissan, it’s awesome to see the aftermarket making some trick parts for it. The Xpartus kit includes-

* Carbon fiber radio and battery trays
* Carbon fiber front and rear towers with aluminum spacers

We have received no word on a potential release date or pricing information, but we will pass those along when we get them. The Xpartus website is still under construction, but Here is the link for future reference.

THE Vaterra Swift Justice 2012 CHP Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 from Horizon Hobby Review

Vaterra Swift Justice CHP Camaro Review

While Vaterra might be relatively new to the marketplace, they are certainly making a splash with their extremely scale looking rc cars. Their latest on-road machine, the 2012 CHP Camaro ZL1 is heavy on scale detailing at a moderate price point. Does the chassis drive well? Is the included brushed motor fast enough to have fun? Can you jump it off a roof and have it survive? Those questions and more will be answered by the end of our review. Click the famous “Read More” button to get the party started…

Vaterra 2012 CHP Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1
Vaterra has a small fleet of on-road cars but perhaps the one that has garnered the most attention is the 2012 CHP Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 police car. Also known as the Swift Justice car, it has gained attention from its incredible scale detail and working lights.

Take a look at the pictures below to see what it looks like to pull it out of the box. Inside you’ll find a Spektrum transmitter, battery charger, manual, misc hardware/tools, as well as four AA batteries for the radio. The battery for the car comes pre-mounted in the battery tray.

The biggest thing we came away with during the unboxing was that pictures do not do this car justice. It looks gorgeous, it’s a car that could win a concours competition right out of the box. There is an amazing amount of detail in the lexan molding and decals, as well as its wheels/tires/brakes.

Our full review goes up Tuesday October 15th, until then you can hit up This Link for more information.

Check out the video below of the Vaterra 2012 Camaro in action!

The guys at HPI Racing have a thing for real on road cars.  Nearly their entire on road setup consists of officially licensed body styles from most all of the big name auto companies.  So it only makes sense that they would introduce a new 200mm sedan body based on one of the most well known modern muscle cars.  The 2010 Chevy Camaro body shell is formed out of clear polycarbonate so you can paint it to suit your style.  It also comes with a large selection of decals for adding detail, including a ton of gold and chrome.  You can also expect overspray film, to keep you from screwing up your brand new body with your sloppy spraying skills.  It’s pretty much a direct fit for almost all of HPI’s nitro and electric on road chassis’ like the Sprint 2 RTR, Pro 4, Dash, and Nitro RS4.

MSRP for the Camaro is going to be $30 and it’ll be hitting shelves soonish.  Check out the HPI Racing web site for more info.
