Looks like the folks from Dynamite are keeping us bashers in mind with the new Dynamite Fuze 70A Brushless Waterproof ESC. It’s designed to fit more 1/10th scale vehicles, is Lipo (up to 3s) and NiMH compatable, and is programmable via the Dynamite Fuze programming card. Part number is DYN4850 on the ESC and DYN3745 on the programming card.
Street price is about $90.

A while back we posted that Castle Creations would be upgrading their Sidewinder and Mamba Monster line to waterproof versions. Well the Sidewinder3 and Mamba Monster 2 have been officially detailed and are ready to go. We aren’t sure what took Castle so long for their in house product line to catch up to their OEM line, since that’s has had waterproof versions for a while, but many people will be happy it finally showed up.

The Sidewinder3 can handle up to a 3s LiPO, is designed for 1/10th scale crawlers, short course vehicles and other similar sized stuff. The ESC alone is $79, and in a combo with a motor of your choice for only $129. (Motor choices are 4600kv,5700kv, 6900kv, or 7700kv).

The Mamba Monster 2 can handle up to an insane 6S, ideal for larger monster trucks, and is only $169! Castle does mention the fan is NOT waterproof, and recommends you remove it before running in water. You can also buy it in a combo with a 2200kv or 2650kv motor for $349.

New from Radient RC is this brushless motor and ESC combo. The 3500kv system is built to be ideal for your 2WD 1/10th scale vehicles and can even handle running in your 4WD Helion Dominus SC and TR. It can handle 2S or 3S lipo setups, and the waterproof esc is ready for your bashing.

This setup is meant to handle people throwing light kits and super upgraded servo’s on their systems. The ESC is fully customizable and able to handle 2S and 3S batteries.

What a couple of pleasant looking fellows, eh? We stopped by the Novak booth to take a look at their newly announced Impact brushless ESC. You can read the announcement here. While the Impact was billed in the announcement as a small ESC, we were kinda surprised at just how small it is. Tiny would be a more appropriate word. We also got a chance to look at their still relatively new Activ8 ESC for 1/8 scale brushless buggies and truggies. It’s not so tiny. But both have plenty of great features. We got the whole gang at the Tekin booth together for a tender family photo. And then we set about grilling them about anything new they’ve got coming. Well, they do have a new brushless motor, dubbed the Pro-2, which is ideally suited to 2wd vehicles. But you should also check out this RX8 ESC in a white case. We wish we could tell you that it’s loaded with a bunch of new, awesome, I, Robot inspired technology… but it’s not. It’s just an RX8 with a white case. It sure looks sharp though, doesn’t it?
