First teased back in February, the wait is nearly over for the nitro powered HPI 1/8 Ken Block WR8 3.0. The latest HPI to sport Ken Block livery comes with a Nitro Star G3.0 nitro engine (with pull start) and 4wd to put all that power to the ground. The chassis, based off the Bullet MT, is tough and ready for some serious bashing action.
The WR8 3.0 should start shipping soon with a part number of #HPID2868 and a street price of $549. Be the first on your “Block” to own one by pre-ordering it at This Link on the Tower Hobbies’ website.
To make their latest rally car even more scale realistic, HPI Racing has mounted up nitro power in their new Ken Block Fiesta WR8 3.0. A Nitro Star G3.0 HO engine is used to give you the smell and sound of nitro, while the WR8 chassis is based off the Bullet 3.0 monster truck for maximum bash-a-bility. A scale realistic Ford Fiesta body with Ken Block livery sits on top, which should make it a real head turner when you meet up with your bash-buddies at the park.
The part number for the WR8 3.0 is #112868 and you can get more information by hitting up This Link over on the offical HPI website. Click Here for more HPI news right here on BigSquidRC.

There have not been that many good photos of the new HPI Ken Block vehicle except for the ones we posted, and a few people have asked if we had any more. So we dug deep to see if there were any we have not posted yet, and I believe this is the last of them. Enjoy, and look for more info coming soon on this ride!
The HPI crew also made their way to Lincoln Nebraska for the HobbyTown USA Convention. In their suite was their full line-up of cars, buggies and trucks. Of special note was their new Ken Block rally car, which unfortunately we couldn’t take any body-off photos because HPI is still waiting on a few parts. One of their ultra trick Special Edition Savage X 4.6′s was also on display, as was one of their new Super 5SC Flux’s. HPI also had ice cold Mountain Dew in the fridge, a welcome refreshment to weary show goers such as Brian and I. Want to visit HPI’s official website to view all their products? HERE is the link.
