Hitting the water is looking pretty good to us about now, we’ve had such a long and nasty winter. With that thought in mind Thunder Tiger has just introduced a new boat, the Desperado JR Brushless RTR.

With the new Thunder Tiger Desperado being a RTR, there is no need to waste hours building a boat, it’s ready to jam right out of the box. For size the Desperado has a length of 27.2 in, a beam of 7.3 in, a height of 6.1 in, and it weighs in at 2.7 lbs.

The Desperado Jr also comes with a bunch of features that everyone is looking for-

* Water cooled outrunner brushless motor
* 2.4 GHz Ace radio system
* One piece ABS hull
* A magnetic hatch
* Rudder flexes out of the way when hitting objects

Thunder Tiger Outlaw Jr Brushless 2.4GHz RTR Boat

The new Outlaw Jr from Thunder Tiger may be less than 2-1/2 feet long, but this deep vee packs a lot of performance. Its powerful, water cooled brushless system will have you flying around the lake at intense speeds, while it’s smaller size doesn’t require Lake Michigan to drive on. Some of it’s other features and specifications include-

* State-of-the-art Ace Cougar GP3 2.4GHz radio system
* ABS blow-molded deep vee hull that’s preassembled and pre-painted
* Powered by a water-cooled OBL29/20-15M brushless motor and BLC-40M ESC
* On-board gear is easily accessed under a quick-release hatch
* Comes with a wooden display stand

Scale RC is the hot thing right now, and it’s not just for cars and trucks. Aquacraft has just released the Rescue 17 Fireboat. It comes ready-to-run and just screams scale looks. The water cannon can rotate 120 degrees and shoots water up to 10 feet! How cool is that? It has a 17 LED lighting system that runs off your main battery, and all sorts of other awesome little details. It’s 28 inches long (965mm), comes with a 2.4GHz radio, 600-size motor and runs on a 2S LiPo. Pricing and ship date was not available at the time of this post. Not too many boats come with LED lights, so this one has us drooling!

Lucas Oil Catamaran from Aquacraft.

New from Aquacraft is the Lucas Oil Brushless FE Catamaran. It features a watercooled 60 amp esc, 6-pole 1800kV Brushless motor, and the GrimRacer 2535 hardware package. It comes with a 2.4Ghz Radio, or you can get a version that you supply the radio for.
It’s almost 30 inches (750mm) long and weights in at 4lbs. You’ll need to supply 2 2S 7.4v LiPo batteries to be complete and hit the waves. Street price is about $399 for the one with radio, and $339 for the Rx-R version.
