With the weather getting colder many hobbyists head indoors. Some race off-road tenth scale buggies, while others chose tiny on-road cars like Kyosho Mini-Zs.
For all you Mini-Z fanatics, Kyosho has announced a pair of new cars headed to a hobby shop near you. One has a snazzy Mazda Savanna RX-7 body while the other comes with a Nissan Silvia S15 shell. Both use a MA-020 based chassis that comes with AWD and VCS front suspension. Some of the highlights of the new cars include-
* Full bearing set
* Most Mini-Z AWD option parts bolt right on
* KT-19 transmitter
* Comes with 20 cones to mark your own track
* Very detailed bodies
* Receiver/ESC unit has adjustments for LED lighting and gyro

We recently received a Kyosho Mad Bug Readyset for one of our famous “smash’em up” reviews. Take a look at the pictures below to see exactly what it looks like to crack open the box and to see what comes inside.
Being a Readyset (Kyosho’s term for RTR), the Mad Bug comes with everything you need to get up and going except for AA batteries for the transmitter. An Orion NiMh pack comes standard, as does a wall type battery charger. As you can see from the pictures, an Orion brushless system is used to power the Mad Bug, while a 2.4GHz radio system eliminates any possible frequency conflicts.

For those of you looking for an affordable 4wd buggy, Kyosho has just announced their Dirt Hog Type 2. The Dirt Hog should handle well due to its low buggy center of gravity, while its 4wd should help it get through grass and rough terrain. Oil filled shocks, slipper clutch, and adjustable camber links come as standard equipment. The Dirt Hog is a ReadySet, fully built and ready to bash or to bust out some laps on the local track.

Kyosho Ferrari FXX
First shown at the Nurnberg Toy Fair, Kyosho has now released full information on their 8th Scale Psycho Kruiser Monster Truck. The Psycho Kruiser is based off Kyosho’s popular Inferno platform and utilizes a long alloy chassis and 3 gear differentials. Long travel shocks are used to soak up big jumps, and a 6S LiPo capable brushless system makes sure you never want for more power.

Kyosho Psycho Kruiser Gallery
Kyosho has announced a new version of their Blizzard Search & Rescue that uses their iReceiver technology. This iReceiver equipped Blizzard comes with an on-board camera & control system that allows you to drive the unit entirely from your smartphone or tablet. Imagine viewing the live on-board images on your smartphone, while you tilt your phone to make it change directions, pretty cool stuff. To use the iReceiver system you will need a smartphone, tablet or PDA on 7 iOS or Android from 4.2.2.
