Weld Racing Aluminum Wheels for the Traxxas Funny Car

The Traxxas crew has just announced new Weld Racing Aluminum Wheels for their popular Funny Car. The new Weld wheels are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and come laser etched for a trick look.

Part #6968 is the rear wheels, which come pre-glued with belted tires rated for 70+ mph. Part #6969 are the fronts which also come pre-mounted with 70+ mph tires. Pricing is $125 for the rears, and $45 for the fronts. Click HERE for the official Traxxas webpage.

Cue the guys over at Gear Head RC, makers of some seriously uber hop-up gear for the scaler crowd. Their latest and greatest product- 1.9 Vintage Beaklock Wheels. These CNC machined aluminum wheels can help make your rig the best looking one on the trail.

Some of the specs include a weight of 4.4 oz, an offset of -.250″, a width of 1.25″ and they accept 12mm hexes. Silverback has a new wheel called the 5imian that is made just for your FIVE-T. The 5imian wheels are lighter than stock, have a +3mm offset to widen out your truck, and have a great scale look.

Pro-Line F-11 3.8″ (Traxxas Style Bead) Black 1/2″ Offset 17mm Wheels

Pro-Line have just announced some very cool wheels to fit your 17mm hex monster truck like the Traxxas Revo or Summit. An 11 spoke design was utilized, as well as detailed bolt heads and a swept back face to give them a true full scale look.

Intended for heavy duty bashing, Pro-Line made the new F-11′s extra strong with large webbing in the back. The extra webbing should help keep them in one piece even after those second story landings to pavement. The half inch offset makes your truck wider for a tougher looking stance and added stability in the corners.

Spiked Short Course Truck Wheels from 3D Printer

You’ve seen that 3D Printers are becoming all the rage, here is an example of how they can be used in rc. The spiked wheels in the pictures were made from a 3D printer and you can make them at home too. First you have to buy a 3D printer, then you have to visit Thingiverse and download the spiked wheel file. Feed the file into your printer and sha-zam, you end up with a set of crazy spiked wheels. The person sharing the file over on Thingiverse, kallaspriit, says the spiked wheels get great traction on snow, but they look like they would get a lot of traction on most any loose surface.
