What gearing do you recommend for a Losi Junior-T when using a Twister 12 turn quad?
I ran my Junior-T with a stock motor. Used 19/88.

1/2 mill seems a bit high.. maybe that’s because of who owned it? I thought those vehicles were closer to the 100-200k range..

How was the Mini-Z bike launch party? My invite (and plane ticket) must have gotten lost in the mail.
It was a little quiet..the bikes are really cool though. They drive A LOT like the 1/5 scale ones. So Bill and I didn’t really have any problems.. they are not easy, but fun. But for a first time bike driver.. there is lots of crashing. They are durable to say the least!
those 4wd buggies are kool which would you prefer the hpi or axial

I got the losi pipe for the 5ive.. it gives it a bit more low and mid range pep.. sound cool to!
How’s it sound? Was it a big improvement? Those pipes are usually the best ‘investment’ you can make for not too much $$
Pipe was $150.. noticable low and mid range power increase.. sounds pretty cool but its pretty loud running in a residential area.. not so bad out in the open areas though.
Hey guys just wanted to say I love the site I”m on here every day! You guys think that new Traxxas Drag car is worth it or should I just keep hopping up my TC3 I’ve had it clocked at 70 with a radar gun!

We are currently reviewing the drag car. It’s pretty cool, but it depends what you want to get into. Do you want a car you can only drag with in a straight line? I bet that TC3 is a blast to drift or do other things with in the parking lot as well.
Gorgeous looking cars, easy to drive on 2S, takes some throttle control on 3S.
Yeah the Drag looks sweet but the TC3 is a blast to drag, drift and just run around with my buddies. I can get my TC3 to 70 I have a castle system in it so it scoots!! I love the looks of the drag but the video looks like it is hard to control!!

bought me a Pede 4×4, it’s been fun, I’m ready to sell it though, I’ve been trying out lots of different platforms lately looking for that ultimate RC experience. I also got an RC18B this week and I’m loving it, should have bought one years ago. I’ve always loved the look, but I never imagined they were such a blast to drive.
if I may ask.. (And I like both vehicles btw) what do you like so much more about the 1/18 that you are willing to sell the stampede?
I wish I knew. Maybe it’s because I’ve wanted one for so long and the iconic, classic RC look has been a facination since childhood. I don’t really know. But I’m planning on keeping it clean, mostly pavement and skate parks.
The Stampede has been awesome too, but run times are shorter on 2S, and there’s kind of a learning curve on how to drive that kind of beast, plus I’ve broken it several times, nothing major, and all due to lack of experience, though it is very tough. The real reason to sell it is to pay off the credit card i used to buy it with. Kind of like renting an RC car. I’ve had my fun and moving on.
Fair enough.. I know a few people that do the ‘renting’ thing.. they buy and sell cars almost weekly.. they loose a little $, but they get to drive a LOT of vehicles.

-How y’all come up with the name big squid?
-How much of a pain is the giant(sorry, big) plush squid to transport?
-How was it meeting Brandi and Jarrod? Is she as cute in real life? I love that show.
1. In real life Brian actually looks like a squid. Bright red with long dangly bits all over. All the photos of him on the site are severely photoshopped.
2. That’s not stuffed. It’s an actual squid we’ve trained to live outside of seawater. He carries his own bags.
3. Brian peed his pants.

The name is a long story.. short version.. it was kinda of a nick name in college a few of us used to call eachother.
Transporting the squid is can be a pain.. it’s HUGE! Some of those tentacles are close to 20 feet long.. and they are flopping everywhere.. it’s tough to pack it in anything. LOL But we love it, and it’s awesome!
3) she looked REALLY different in person than on TV. Sadly, not as cute in person. She was ok.. but I always thought she was pretty good on TV. Her and Jarrod were VERY nice in person.. easy to talk to. I thought they’d be a little stuck up.. but they were cool.

Whats up with the hpi gas engine for 8th scale? What ever happend to the baja 5b flux and the 4wd baja 5sc flux? Pretty happy with the losi 5ive but the brushless baja sc could use some parts off a 5b flux if they ever come out with it.
I was just on the phone with HPI, and forgot to ask about the gas stuff, but I meant to. All of us here have been dying to get our hands on it! It seemed close at the Germany show.. but maybe the looks were deceiving. It did look a lot like nitro engines with different heads… fingers crossed they make it work.. but at this rate.. Traxxas may beat them to it!
Well get back on that phone and ask! People need to know!

Oh, I just remembered this. Have you guys noticed that sometimes review get crossed? I was reading a recent review, I forget which it was, the EXO? and then some of the wrap up bullets were about the car being reviewed, and others were about the Duratrax VW Baja. So weird.

Kyosho mini motorcycles almost need as much room to drive as a 1/18th scale vehicle.. they were fun.. but forget it in a tight track!
