Team Novak has just announced the Mongoose Crawler Micro Brushless System – 18.5T. It’s the first micro sensor-based system designed specifically for 1/18th scale rc rock crawling vehicles! It’s fully programmable with all the same features as the Novak GOAT system. Time will only tell, but if it’s as good as the Novak GOAT, [...]
Speaking of indoor RC Racing, Strictly R/C also has some good mini rc racing happening in their basement this winter. They have recently remodeled their small scale track with 50×20 Ozite and using Calandra’s Click Track barriers. Wednesday Nights are the Big Race Night there, along with Sunday Afternoons. Check their site for practice times and fee’s.
Our good friend G from Underground RC drop me a line to remind everyone that if you are looking to do some indoor on-road RC racing in the Chicago area, to stop by, or give them a call to see what they have going on. Right now they are racing Trans Am, 1/12, Recoil, unlimited 1/10th, and even a rookie [...]
Hey all, Big Squid RC has never been known for our forums. Well, except for the Drag Racing Forum. If it’s RC Drag Racing you are looking to talk about, you have found the right place. For everything else though, our forums have been pretty general, and we have never really tried to hype them up. We know there are a [...]
Team Associated has announced a Factory Team LiPo battery cradle that replaces the stock Team Associated B44 NiMH battery holders so that LiPo batters can be installed easier without the need of double sided tape. They mention that their Reedy 5100mAh and 4200mAh saddle packs are an ideal fit.
Gotta love 2009 already. AMA Supercross is the first “big name” racing to kick off the new year, and their season opener last weekend in Anaheim was one for the ages. James Stewart could’a, would’a, should’a PWNED. But, after some brain fade and/or Yamabog, he took out arch rival Chad Reed (and eventually Kevin Windham), and finished the first round [...]
RPM RC has just announced their Black Revolver 2.2″ Truck Wheels for the Traxxas e-Rustler, e-Stampede and HPI RS4-MT. The advantage to a molded black wheel is the constant color throughout the wheel. If you get a scratch or ding, it will be less noticeable because the color is always there. These wheels also fall under [...]
Parma has just released their Mini Comp Crawler Body Kit for the Losi Mini Rock Crawler. It includes a detailed interior with driver all ready to be painted anyway you like. The tubular cab is designed to roll nicely and stay strong. (Maybe they will do a 1/10th scale version!) Comes clear with window masks and [...]
New from RPM RC is this mount for a rear bumper or wheelie bar for the Traxxas Slash, Electric Rustler, Stampede or Bandit. The RPM mount has more mounting screws to keep that hinge effect from happening like on the original mount and also reduce impact energy. The new design means no more slotted parts hanging below [...]

I was figuring with all the big RC companies being out over the holidays I would start to get the flood of new press releases in my mail box this week, but at the moment it’s pretty quiet! Maybe nobody wants to try and compete with all the HPI Savage Flux news going around lately! 🙂 Anyway, if you have some [...]
