Has it already been another week? Omg does time fly in the wonderful world of rc. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery right? I guess Xtreme RC Magazine really digs us then as they’ve got their version of Jeff’s long running “R/C Around The Web” column in their magazine now. And yes of course, Jeff’s version is vastly [...]
New from Traxxas is the Ford F150 Raptor SVT. According to the description, it’s based on the Traxxas Slash platform. We are pretty sure it’s a slash with a F150 body on it, but way it’s worded, it’s as if it’s a whole new vehicle. It comes with the Titan 12T Brushed motor, 2.4Ghz radio system, and BFGoodrich replica tires. [...]
Here’s a pretty killer piece of RC on TV! The Fox NASCAR crew and Tony Stewart got a chance to feel out the new Daytona asphalt using a Traxxas Slash earlier this year. Pretty awesome to see my boy Smoke holding a piece of Traxxas weaponry. Check out the video after the break!
For our readers who are not friends on the BigSquidRC Facebook page, (serious.. what’s wrong.. I thought we were buds!) Wrench posted a few CarTown pics over there. The first is the Traxxas Mustang and second is his BigSquidRC creation. Both look pretty sweet. If you are not a friend yet, make sure to hit that LIKE button [...]
Traxxas Short Course Shootout iPhone App ReviewIn an interesting twist for us and the RC world, there are starting to be more and more RC related phone Apps. When we found out there was going to be a Traxxas app, and it was going to be more than a gear checker or wallpaper viewer, it got our attention. So does [...]
While related to RC in one of those 6 degrees of Keven Bacon sort of ways, DC Shoes has pushed out the latest Ken Block Gymkhana Four (4) video. This is one of those love it or hate it sort of things. There is some pretty awesome driving going on, while at the same time some pretty cheesy other stuff. One [...]
You read it here first quite awhile ago, and Cubby even mentioned it today, but it’s time to officially say that the Traxxas Power Cell LiPo Batteries are now shipping! They are available in a ton of shapes and sizes and in both 2S and 3S configurations. Each come fitted with a Traxxas high current connector, and a [...]
Welcome to yet another exciting week in our wonderful hobby of rc. 🙂 What was the big rc news last week you might ask? HPI announcing a new gas (not nitro) powered monster truck coming in 2012, that’s what. I guess the obtuse might have just blown right by that PR, but I saw it as the first sign [...]
Looks like Traxxas is really making the rounds in the news today! Apparently a soldier in Afghanistan was driving his Traxxas Stampede around looking for road-side bombs (it has a wireless camera mounted to it as well) when it triggered a trip-wire causing about 500 pounds of explosives to go of. Something that would of most likely destroyed the vehicle [...]
You better grab your iPhone because Traxxas just released a new app called the Traxxas Short Course Shootout! You can upgrade your vehicles with new tires, motors, and different types of vehicles like Super Buggy and Pro Light, Pro 2WD and Pro 4×4. They even have tracks from the TORC series! But wait! It gets better, if you play [...]
So here’s a little video of the Traxxas Stampede 4×4 in action! Wherever we go, we usually have this one with us because it’s just fun to bash with. The video is a little montage of some front flips, back flips, and a few reverse double back flips. If you are wondering about the Stampede, and thinking about buying one, you [...]
So after our news scoop yesterday, and the follow uppics earlier today, we got our hands on a little more official pic of the new Traxxas Lipo and logo. As you can see here in the pic of the 3S 8400mah Lipo, they are going with the name Power Cell. The batteries are engineered by Traxxas for Traxxas [...]
Right on the heels of the Captain’s Curse annoucement, Traxxas has a bunch of new hop-ups for the Grave Digger Monster Jam truck! You can now choose from aluminum caster blocks, steering blocks, stub axle carriers, shock caps, or axle nuts anodized in the same neon green color as the Grave Digger! Most of the parts will fit [...]
We were the first to tell you about it yesterday, the first to give you exclusive spy shots this morning, and now we can officially announce that Traxxas will be bringing Captain’s Curse to the Officially Licensed Monster Jam 2WD Stampedes! It will come just as the other Monster Jam models do in a complete ready-to-run package. Titan [...]
Traxxas has a few new items for the Monster Jam Replica fans. First up is the newest addition to the line-up with the Captain’s Curse truck! I think the Monster Jam stuff has been doing well for Traxxas, and I’m glad to see they will keep supporting the line for the fans. They have also started to do [...]
