Chucky Goes Grass Surfing for Halloween!
Our good friend Dwayne Buchannon over at the STL Kids RC & Family Foundation has worked up a special Grass Surfing Chucky for our BigSquidRC readers. The Chucky movies have been a huge hit since the very first one, with Chucky now days becoming more and more a part of American culture for Halloween. For our readers, Dwayne built a custom Chucky Traxxas X-Maxx to help promote the sport of rc, as well as to help celebrate Halloween.
Dwayne put together a build list for this custom Chucky X-Maxx so that you can build one yourself. Here are some of the items he used to make a custom surfing Chucky monster truck.
* Traxxas 8S X-Maxx Monster Truck
* Castle XLX-2 800kV brushless combo
* Pro-Line Badlands MX-43 tires
* Sky RC GNSS GPS module
* GoPro Hero on-board camera
* WFO RC pinion gear
* 2 – CNHL 4S 5000mAh LiPo batteries
* 24″ Chucky doll from Ebay
* 3/8″ plywood cut to desired shape 36″ x 11.5″
* 5mm x 16 buttons & 5mm lock washers
After completion of the conversion, we will say that it indeed looks like Chucky is grass surfing as the modified X-Maxx flew through taller grass. Wheelies were a breeze with the insane Castle power system and we were impressed by how many people dropped by our pit area to check out the extreme X-Maxx Chucky.
We hope Dwayne’s build helps to inspire a custom build of your own to help celebrate a holiday, or just to have fun! We would like to give Dwayne some extra props for doing the Chucky build for our readers, and you can Click This Link to check out more Halloween themed posts right here on BigSquidRC.
