EVERYBODY’S SCALIN’ – 4TH OF JULY MUD BOG AND CRAWL

Nothing says America like a good old mud bog on the 4th of July. Everyone decks out their rigs with the stars and stripes and it all around has a good vibe. I learned a lot from last years mud bog and I wanted this year to be real muddy. This time I took my tiller and I just let it dig its way to China. Surprisingly the tiller only hopped out and chased me around the yard once so I say that’s a win! Instead of using a little water tank, like last year, I used a large amount of hoses and just let the water fill up the bog for about two hours. And boom, ladies and gentlemen, you have a perfect bog pit.

Unfortunately, the transmission of our Vaterra Suburban mud truck was destroyed in the mud bog at Horizon fest. So I used the new Traxxas Trx4 Sport with the Traxx set that Traxxas sent us. So far the new Sport is unbelievable in the mud. There was one spot in the bog that seemed to eat all the rigs. Sent the new Sport Traxx into it and it was a walk in the park with that rig. A few buddies of mine also had some mega mud trucks. The mega mud trucks are gaining popularity quite fast and with the JConcepts Fling King’s the rigs not only look the part but perform also.

I couldn’t help but think of the movie Sandlot and the 4th of July night game. Granted the mud bog was in the morning but it felt just the same. Having a bunch of buddies over doing want you all love to do on Independence Day, all while trying to “pickle the beast”. I think the 4th Of July mud bog will be a permanent date for Juicebox Off-road Park.

As for next week’s article, I think it’s time for a take my money post. So many good products are being released. We have also been testing the new PitBull Kronik 100 mm shocks so be on the look out for that! Till next week, check out some of the pics from the Mud Bog. Have a great weekend and keep Scalin!
