EVERYBODY’S SCALIN’ – “TAKE MY MONEY” SUMMER EDITION

Summer is in full swing and that means some very cool stuff is out for us to take advantage of. Just like the last “Take My Money” article, just because something is not mentioned doesn’t mean it’s not worth the money. The three products that make the article are hot at the moment, and it never hurts to have a shopping list when you’re at your local hobby shop.

1. Element RC Enduro Sendero RTR 1/10 Rock Crawler.

For those of you that haven’t heard Element RC is a branch of Team Associated. The new Rtr Enduro is their first 1:10 crawler and from what I have seen it’s not a rig to brush off. For Pete sakes you can adjust the gear ratio 3 different ways! It comes with a set of officially licensed General Grabber X3 tires and licensed Method 701 Trail Series beadlock wheels. Not bad for Element’s first rig if I may say so myself. What really turned my head is the body. The Enduro’s body looks like a cross between an early 90’s Dodge or Chevy pickup. A buddy of mine, well, a few buddies of mine have picked them up and after seeing how well the Enduro did at the Mud Bog it sealed the deal for me. Oh, and don’t forget to hold on to the box because it folds out into a scale garage! I would pay $30 for just that.

2. Pro-Line Racing 1977 Dodge Ramcharger 12.3mm body.

Come on, you knew this was going to make the list, lol. For all of us Mopar fans I just want to thank Pro-Line for hearing our cries, and now that Pro-Line has released the Ramcharger I will stop sending my weekly emails to them about how the world would be a better place with a Ramcharger body, A.K.A I will honor the restraining order. The 1977 Ramcharger comes with a full interior, removable top and even a dash. We all knew Pro-Line would do a good job but we didn’t expect to get a full interior and removable top. We may have one at the Big Squid office but I can’t confirm anything, wink, wink. The body will fit 12.3 wheel base rigs so finding a chassis won’t be a hard time at all.

3. Knight Customs.

Finding good 3D printed accessories can be hit or miss. Some people out there claim to be the king but when it comes time to deliver they fall flat on their face. I have been keeping an eye on Knight Custom’s ever since our Podcast we did with him. I think it’s safe to say I would rather be a knight then a king! You can get almost get anything you want for your rig and have that peace of mind knowing you’re going to get a quality product. I have a few items in my shopping cart for our Axial UMG10!

So, there you have it everyone, the 3 “Take My Money” awards for the summer. Remember this is about the scale side of the hobby, trust me I know the new ARRMA Infraction is amazing and if this was an all around hobby list it, would have been on it. Have a great weekend and take lots of scale pictures on the trails this weekend. Till next week, Keep Scalin’!
