HITEC SERVO UPDATES

Hello all you out there in Internet land. Jeremy here, and I have some updates on a few of the servos Hitec sent us to get some of our projects turning, literally because that is what servos do lol. All jokes aside I couldn’t be happier with the performance of the HSB-9381TH Brushless that we put in our Gmade Buffalo. We get to review a lot of RTR rigs, and the most common weak point is the servos. It kind of felt funny at first driving a new rig with a grade A servo installed from the start and not the slightly mid grade servos that come in RTR rigs. The Hitec HSB-9381TH Brushless servo packs a punch in the power depot and as of right now it can take a bit of a beating in the process. The Buffalo is in it’s final testing days and yet the HSB-9381TH brushless servo still has that new servo smell and has not lost any power!

As for one of the Hitec D956WP servos, we installed it in our Tamiya King Hauler from Remote Control Hobbies of Orlando A.k.a The Squid Rig. Now this one might be slightly overpowered for this type of RC, but I wanted to make sure the Squid Rig had a strong servo for those times it will be pulling and hauling loads. It is better to have a powerful servo and not need the extra power than need the power and not have it.

Stay tuned for more updates on our Hitec servos and how they are holding up. And if you would like to read more about Hitec on Big Squid RC make sure to click the link!
