Horizon Hobby to Distribute Sphero Products

Soon, thanks to the folks at Horizon Hobby, you’ll be able to buy Sphero products from your local Horizon dealer. Ok, so you know who Horizon is, they are a major distributor to your local hobby shop and have lines like ECX, Vaterra, Blade, Losi, and Spektrum. But who is Sphero? Some of you may recognize their products from shops in the mall, for those of you who don’t, they make small smart device controlled products. Sphero is known for their Sphero 2.0 which is the ball pictured above on the right, and the Ollie which is above pictured to the left. Both can be driven (or raced!) on nearly any surface (even water!) while being controlled by your smart device.

Horizon Hobby is set to initially distribute both the Sphero 2.0 and Ollie to local hobby shops, but it sounds like they may have some incredible new products on the way in the near future. Watch the video at the very bottom of this post to see what Sphero has been teasing for Star Wars fans.
