Charger Shootout – Charge Amps
As technology keeps pushing the battery limits farther and farther, and the sizes bigger and bigger, the quality and the ability for the packs to be charged at higher amp rates helps bring the long charge times down. There are many battery companies like Max Amps, Thunder Power, and ACE that claim their batteries have no problem charging them at 5C rates! On a 5000mah pack, that means you could be charging at 25amps if your had a charger that could handle it! I think a lot of people still worry about pushing that much into their packs, but 2C rates (10 amps on a 5000mah pack) is starting to be the norm for some people. So if you’re one of these guys with a giant 4S pack, or you have a high quality pack you can charge at a higher rate, these numbers will be important to you.
