Monster Truck Madness – A Huge Loss

Hello everyone. This is a very somber MTM.

Last week the r/c monster truck community lost a very important figure – Marlon Cox.

Marlon has long been active in the online monster truck community (full size AND r/c). He created, along with his brother Rafael and friends, the Showtime R/C Motorsports club. He is one of the folks behind the Solid Axle Showdown, which is known as an annual destination r/c monster truck event.

He is one of the reasons the whole r/c solid axle monster truck scene is what it is now. He was a fierce competitor, great builder (he always had the sickest monster vans!), and an awesome friend to many. He also helped MANY hobbyists along the way, in various facets.

Marlon has helped me out over the years big time, whether it was giving me advice or just being someone to vent to.

He was a great dude. The hobby was extremely lucky to have him.  Here is a link to Marlon’s memorial page.

The Big Squid crew sends condolences to all of Marlon’s family and friends. RIP.
