Monster Truck Madness – Come Race This Weekend at the BIGFOOT Open House!
The 2019 BIGFOOT Open House is nearly here, taking place this Saturday, June 1st! It takes place at the BIGFOOT 4×4 shop in Pacific, MO (outside of St. Louis).
It’s a fun celebration of all things monster trucks. You can see several car crushes, both of the modern and old skool variety, get a ride on a monster truck and meet BIGFOOT drivers.
Of course, there will also be an r/c solid axle monster truck race involved. The info:
3 classes will be offered, Outlaw Retro, Sport Modified and Pro Modified Monster Truck. Each class will have one racing session and there will be one session of judged Freestyle. Due to time constraints, only one entry will be allowed per class. Only 1 Freestyle entry will be allowed as well. It is recommended that you arrive at 9am. Registration takes place at 9:30 with racing to start at 10. $10 first class, $5 additional. It will take place on asphalt. You can find full event rules right here.
There will also be a BIGFOOT Show N’ Shine competition held, which is open to all r/c vehicles that replicate a full size BIGFOOT monster truck vehicle or paint job. This will be open to both competing and non-competing vehicles (shelf queens). All paid racing competitors will be given a voting card, with a trophy awarded to the winner.
The r/c racing will be taking place all throughout the day, with breaks in action while the full size trucks do their thing. Of course, if you don’t have a truck to race, you can always just come and watch as we all tear up our stuff!
If you do visit, make sure to say hi. I’ll be the guy that’s on the mic the majority of the day, and I’ll have some Big Squid R/C sticker packs on hand for anyone that wants them.
If you can’t make the Open House, there is another awesome solid axle r/c event taking place the following weekend. Horizon Hobby R/C Fest! They are going to be racing monsters, among LOTS of other things, so head up there, why dontcha?
