Monster Truck Madness – Fall is Here
Greetings all and welcome to another Monster Truck Madness!
Fall has arrived and the weather and almost on cue, the weather has turned cooler and it’s amazing! We have our season finale Trigger King R/C race this Sunday, and it should be about perfect for it.
For folks in the northeast area of the country, one of the biggest rc monster truck races is taking place up in Enfield, CT. You can check out this website for more info.
Looks like JConcepts will be there releasing a whole slew of new monster truck stuff. I can’t wait to get my hands on it when it releases to the public!
Once my racing season ends, I’m looking forward to spending a good portion my autumn r/c time wheeling my TRX-4 High Trail. I wrote some impressions last week, but man I really just love the truck.
Between being in the middle of moving, busy stuff at work, AND being busy wrapping up the monster truck racing season, going into the woods with my monster trail truck has been very relaxing. I suppose this is the ultimate appeal of scaling, but damn it feels awesome doing it with an early 80’s looking monster.
Seriously, every time I walk by my work bench and see that big black Chevy sitting on it, it makes me smile. Those Goodyear-style Ranger tires are HAWT!
I’m eagerly awaiting the clear body release so I can do some airbrushing on it.
Well, that’ll do for this week. A busy weekend of r/c is ahead! I hope everyone out there gets some trigger time in!
